Rich? No, you want to become happy. Rich can help with that, but it just as much can not.
Beautiful? Uuum, so you define yourself as ugly? Why is that so? (Maybe a therapy...;)
Popular? That's by far the lowest one. Why would you run after other people's definitions of good an bad? Are you only happy if others tell you that you are good? That's not a very healthy view, is it? I recommend *defining* what is good and bad yourself, and let others run after your respect. ^^
Strong and influential? Well, the above four are false friends in the chase to get there.
All in all, try to grow some self-confidence, an own reality, and some balls. Then all that will come by itself (well, technically you will make it come). And sex, oh. That's the downside. With that much success you can have all you like, but you will not think it's that important anymore.;)
Well, at the current quality of being cheap knock-offs adopted from foreign products, produced with no experience and outdated factories, I don't think we want to buy those.;)
I agree completely and from my own experience. I once realized that actually, life can be completely pointless. I mean if you are in a situation where nothing that you can do will change the fact, that in 3-4 generations, you existence will not even have any influence on the world at all... Then what's the point of your existence? Well, by definition none.
So you just fall into a state where nothing matters. You won't do anything at all. Except read Slashdot and similar pointless stuff, all day long. Oh and eat/sleep/shit/etc. because you can't stand the biological drive, and it does not matter anyway.
Of course I was lucky, as I got lucky and got a chance to make my life relevant again.
And just to you know it: The purpose of human life is:...reproduction. By "forming babby", or by forming ideas that continue to live in society. But what the purpose of society as a whole is, that I don't know. It certainly is an expanding biomass and a set of growing ideas. But why? Or is it just our own fault to come up with such a "pointless" question, and we should just concentrate on physical causality?;)
How in the world do you twist it in your mind, to think that another nation has to sell you their precious resources? I mean how arrogant can a person be? Especially since your own nation is the king of export restrictions for "national security" reasons!
There are things done by China, that we can all agree on to be not OK. But there are not that much less things done by the USA that fit that category too. (Wars for example. Wait for China to attack foreign nations!)
Oh, and one must be very egocentric, to define "violations" only trough what oneself and one's friends think of right any wrong. Shall we ask Iran about what they call "violations"? ^^ See... someone stating it does not mean it's globally correct. Not even if it's yourself stating it.:)
Uuum, what have the Chinese nationals to do with their asshole government? They are not their government. It's like punishing you for the murderings by the US Army in in Afghanistan and Iraq. Wouldn't you feel unfairly treated?
Perhaps they even go to American schools to *avoid* "their" government.
It's people with your mindset that create hatred against a whole nation for the fault of a few.
I've got one argument against it: People on the street going "Ha-haa! Cripple!" (And rightfully so, because if you not already are one, you will become one by using this all day long.)
Besides: Humans are the most enduring runners on the whole freakin' planet! Why deliberately destroy that? I prefer to tune my free perfectly good biological machine, rather than buy an expensive experimental thing that hasn't stood the test of anything, let alone time.:)
I think it’s pointless to ship humans to other planets, except if we need to live there because we’re out of space here. But hey, we could go to half the planets is the solar system with that budget, that is spent to kill humans instead for no reasons other than greed and lies. It really is a bigger insult to America, than 9/11 ever could be.

What about a plant build out of 100% recyclable mirrors, water tubes, turbines, generators and DC wires (all made out of just glass, aluminium, steel, copper, and similar materials), placed on a salt flat that is deadly to animals?
I guess they will oppose the mining of the raw materials. ^^ But would they also object, if you would mine it trough a small hole and do everything underground where there is no life anymore anyway?
I think in the long run, the only thing that makes sense is to use the giant free fusion reactor called sun. I mean if there would be a God, I'd say it's as if he just went "Here, that's your unlimited free power source. Use it.":)
But I think mirror-and-water-heating based solar plants are simpler, need no rare materials, are cheaper and all around better than solar-electric cells.
I think anything that is not a 100% renewable (set of) cycle(s), is not really "green", but just an illusion. Besides: What's bad with making it a natural cycle? I think you can profit big time from doing so.
I see no point in using up non-recyclable materials. It's just dumb in the long term.
There's another even better option to add to that:
Large circles of mirrors, heating water, and then the same process as with nuclear power plants: turbines driving generators.
Now of course you would have to store energy and transport it from where it's sunny to where the sun doesn't shine.;) But the transport is easy with big DC cables, and the storage possible. The best thing is, that you only need renewable simple and abundant materials to build it. Which also makes it cheap. And the energy of the sun is for free.
One huge plant in some salt plane in the south could be enough to power the whole USA. Basically for free. I'm not saying that we should stop using nuclear power plants because of them, or that it's perfect, but... BEAT THAT! ^^
So the only question remaining is: WHY?? I mean are there no better places in the whole world to go? Perhaps even some place with friendly people and fair jobs?
Well, you would type better if you would not have to look at the keyboard constantly. Because you can check the correctness of the written words, and other events happening on the screen, at the same time. Or just read something, while writing something else. I mean why *not*? Once you get used to it, it feels more natural anyways. And it's proven that you learn faster when you don't look at the keyboard. Which you have to anyway, when learning a layout that is not the one printed on the keys.
No. Not troll. But FACT. But I knew that the fanbois (yes, with "i" ^^) would be trolling me.
I should set the tech-nostaglics on you. Those who disable all but plain HTML in their browsers, hate that they can't buy a phone without SMS or other functions, use Emacs as their main UI and wish they could run a VT100 again.
It would be an epic war. Fanbois of shiny "bling" with no foundation against the complete opposite! There can only be one! Leave no survivors!
Man, those wishes are really...uum... low

Or it's what I fear, and it's just the same Foxtards that usually rally about "death panels".
Oh well, if for once they are useful, let them... They have a long time to pay back what they did to the country and world anyway. ^^
Depending on your definition of "green".

I'd rather have NOTE OF ALL THIS! One bad does not make the other bad good!
It's still totalitarian terrorism (and I mean the real definition of that word)!
Well guess who's using their way then, the next time? ^^
They can only lose. The only winning move, is to declare bankruptcy. (Winning for *us*, but *shhhh*! O:-)

Dumbest idea ever. What you suggest is short-term profit for long-term lack of profit. Also called "dumb greed". ^^
Have you ever read about all those inventors who sold their idea for a dollar, and where the buyer got rich, while they died poor?
That's the thing.
I don't want their hands to be crippled before they start their first job!
I wouldn't accept anything less than this: http://www.datahand.com/products/proii.htm
With a adapted proper layout like DVORAK, or for German keyboards NEO ( http://www.neo-layout.org/ Because compared to this, DVORAK looks like a bad joke of inside-the-box thinking ^^).
The only ones dumber than the one making such an offer, are those taking it.
Yes you can quote me on that. :P
Then they added:
"Think of the children!"
and:
"Look at the silly monkey! Look at the silly monkey!" *head explodes*
When you mean "we"... do you mean "you" and your kid sitting on the side, watching? ^^
