When I returned home from my last Vietnam vacation the customs guard asked about what I had done on vacation and had me power up my laptop and show him our vacation photos.
This was in July of 2003. I was very suprised by his request to look at my vacation photos. The guy didn't even blink at the small bundle of DVD movies I had purchased in HCM city (Siagon)
The idea you posted is correct except that is not in the sedimentary layer where the information is stored.
The Geologic record of the poles shifting can be found in the undersea volcanic rock at the Mid-Atlantic rift zone.
As the volcanic magma cools the the record of the direction of the magnetic pole is frozen in the rock.
I think what is missing is the fact that the Earth as a global ecosystem could and has tolerated such fluctuations in output from the Sun.

I just purchased for my Nephew the standard Alphabet blocks.
What learning game would the Slashdot crowd suggest for a 2 year old child??
My thoughts were the blocks would be great for my Brother and Sister in law to teach spelling to my Nephew.

In our Society you can SUE anyone for anything. This in its self is not the problem.
The problem as I see it is the people on the Juries. Why do Juries award such huge awards???? If we as potential Jurist knew and UNDERSTOOD what we could do as a Jurist. We would probably not see such BS brought to the Courts.
It is not up to the Lawmakers/ Government to decide for us what should or shouldn't be allowed to goto Court. We as Citizens, the people who serve on Juries should be the only ones to decide the validity of claims made in Court. I hope the Jury for this case finds Sony/Whomever not Liable and the Parents %100 liable. Does anyone know if the Victims Families are Suing the kids parents?????
I hope the Scientists/ Doctors find a cure/ Vaccine. The Woman I love with all of my Heart is currently in Asai visiting her family. She will be there for atleast a few Months more and I hope she will stay safe.
I have had to deal with this same problem off and on. Someone who does not like the idea of my operation of a website critical of our company forges e-mails with my E-mail Address. Instead of porn or spam this person includes Virus files.
Same said person also sends me 2 or 3 Klez infected e-mails everyday.
I sent a gift package to her yesterday.
1. I Love You Teddy Bear.
2. One really nice pen.
3. Small Rosewood gift box with three small carved stone hearts inside.
4. Valentines Card expressing my Love for her.
I think NASA should only concern itself with Science and Space exploration/ exploitation.
You can't reason with Fanatics/Zealots in any rational way. Leave them in the Stone age.

This has to be one of the facts that I've had to face, going into my third community site. You create and direct when the community is starting up. Once its established, your role becomes more understated and less direct. You guide and influence. You don't direct.

Anyone from the Bay Area should recognize those numbers.
My memory is fuzzy, but I recall reading or hearing somewhere that Steve operated a joke line.
I would also like to thank the Steve's for giving 12 or 16 Apple computers to Redwood Middle School in 1981 or 82.
My friends and I had great fun programing in BASIC during Junoir High School.
I wish I had stuck with it:-(
