America has changed the world for the better in so many ways. America will continue to change the world including the use of science to make our world a safer place to live. I am for limiting business from destroying the environment but I will not stand for 100% halting of progress for humanity. There is a middle ground on this issue and I think in the long run that makes sense. You can disagree with me but I think you fail to see the future and the best of both worlds that comes with it.

Until then, I appreciate all you radical left wingers for your continual entertainment with regarde to your nonsensical statements.

I'm saying it may or may not be our fault assumming this is the case. As to wheather this can be fixed? I'd say it's possible to fix it. Einstein's famous formula E=M*c^s says that energy and mass are related. The pole shift is due to movement of electrons (energy) from the north pole to the south pole. We know how to turn mass into electricity via nuclear power plants. Theoretically, by running a transmission line half way around the world from a grounded north pole to the south pole and using a nuclear power plant to shift the potential energy might fix the problem.

Now whether or not tampering with the Earth's magnetic field would cause unwanted consequences would require someone smarter than myself.

I'm an electrical engineer. During my studies in sub-atomic physics that a particle's velocity can be effected by magnetic fields. I believe it's possible that more of the Sun's radiation is penetrating the Earth's magnetic field due to it being weaker. If more radiation hits the Earth, shouldn't that also increase the overall temperature of the Earth and can global warming be contributed to this?

I've been bouncing this idea in my head for a while now and I can't see why this MAY not be true.

If you watch carefully, you'll see that news organizations such as CNN and especially CBS report on things that are pro-left. At some point, listen to how they word their headline. For example, "The Republican run senate has just voted down the environment bill. And in other news, studies show that penguins are dying at an alarming rate off the coast of Antarctica."

Do you see what I'm talking about? It's not just what they say but how they say it. Fox News does the same thing for the other side. Denying that this doesn't take place shows that you are so one-sided that you can't see the bias.

Windows and Linux are just different. One is better than the other in different areas. For example, Windows has a great user interface and offers outstanding tools such as Excel, Word, Internet Explorer, etc. On the other hand, Linux has the ability to handle Internet related matter in a flexible way. Linux also allows developers to manipulate the way the operating system functions by simply editing text files. Only offering one operating system to students decreases their ability to learn two great systems. It's no different then capitalism. The success of capitalism is greatly due to the available options the consumer has to choose from. If we want American schools to produce dynamic, experienced graduates who can bring the best solutions to the work place, all mediums of education should be available.
