based on the subscription rates, this doesn't seem to be a better deal than OS X's $999 unlimited client license. Yeah, the hardware is cheaper, but if you have 20-30 servers...
What their towing capacity is? Can they run fiber out to my private island? Or, for the 20 foot ones, do rescue missions (Remember the trapped Russian Sailors in the sub?)
Mac has more kids games than adult games.

I would probably go with an emac, they can take more of a beating than the imacs, and kids can be rough on computers.
a commerical for a new service from Cingular that would allow you to tie your cell phone to ring to your home phone when attached to a device they sell. And you don't use wireless minutes when answering at home. So, you could have the bext of both worlds.
Ok, I am a Democrat, but this one seems obvious to me. Downloading copyrighted music is a crime. (I don't really care if the prices are unfair- try boycotting). The GOP hates criminals.
Check the news- Ashcroft just took away a great deal of discretion in sentencing in order to generate greater penalties for criminals.
No Republican president ever runs without promising to get tough on crime. Dubya smirks when he talks about executing people.
In electronic format, support The Bean free library, which offers many free books in multiple formats. Also Webscriptions, which is a great way to get books early and cheap.
I welcome anything that potentially keeps money in my pocket
You're in luck. I think "Anything to keep money in my pocket" is the Bush campaign slogan for '04.
The reality of a law like this is that it's a PR move. The only thing that can legitmately reduce the tax burden is a cut in spending. Trust me, you'll end up paying that Bush deficit eventually, no matter how sweet a nice fat refund check is now.
You: Yay! Not Internet Tax
Government: Your Walrus pacifier tax is due.
And that's the worst part. There will always be a percentage of the population that assumes anyone accused of a crime is guilty. Nevermind that he convinced a Jury, who presumably were working off expert testimony.
"How many of us have had to sit on hold for hours and reformat a hard drive as DOS just to convince the tech support lackey on the other end that a hard drive really is bad?"
I work in tech support. I actually don't mind helping old people learn to use computers, because I am fortunate enough to work without a time limit. Most people are friendly if you are patient and don't talk down to them.
Know what is 100 times more annoying than the computer illiterate? Computer experts. That's right, slashdot readers are the bane of my existence.
That fact that you can write software/build a network from paperclips and phone line/replace a hard drive does not mean you haven't forgotten your password. I have talked to hundreds of computer geniuses who wanted to go "Off script" only to realize that their password was l33thax0r3, not l33thax0r4. How about you just take two seconds and clear your browser cache instead of giveing me your resume?
Web designers are worse. Apparently, being a web designer means you don't have to read the most basic instructions on any website. If you can't login with your eyes closed, then they could have done a much better job with the site.
Keep in mind, no matter how many times you TELL me what a smart guy you are, I have no way of telling if you really know how to diagnose a bad hard drive, or if you're one of the many people who thinks "surge protector turned off" and "bad hard drive are the same thing. Save some time and answer a few simple questions.
Of course, if you really are the the genius you would have me beleive, do us both a favor and don't call. I'm sure you'll get it figured out.
Schumer can sponsor a Bill. The Christian Coalition, at least until they are elected as a body to a senate seat, can only support a bill (And drop fat checks on people to get it passed.)
If you'd like to see it passed, ask your Senator to cosponsor
Trick them into it. Get them hooked on the pretty aqua interface and Mac ease of use goodness. And then, when they come home one day and ask about loops, conditionals, and arrays, launch the terminal.
Just wondering

Mac OS X Hints
·
· Score: 2, Insightful
I love macosxhints.com, it has helped me out a lot when I get stuck (Getting syslog working on OS X got a lot easier with a hint). But does anyone else think it's odd to publish a book made entirely of user-contributed content?
A lot of people contributed time and energy to make that site better, free of charge.
Just a little behind a cell phone with a video camera on my list of things I need. But I am sure there are plenty of people looking for new ways to spend money.
There once was a woman at the beach. Her son was swept away by the tide.
She prayed to God to have her son brought back. Suddenly, the tide changes, and her son comes sweeping back in. The woman looks up at the heavens and says "He had a hat!"
I am sure there is a message there somewhere...
One of the big reasons for piracy is the cost of tracks and how the cash is distributed
No, one big reason for piracy is people don't like to pay for stuff. Cash distribution is a small reason for piracy.
I consider myself an average consumer. I probably average about 3 CDs a month. With the apple store, I can go to one spot and get a lot of good music with few restrictions and reasonable prices. And now, there will even be indie music.
However, I should give this up in favor of a plan that would involve me visting 20-30 web sites a month and entering my credit card information on web sites with God knows what security holes.
I am sympathetic to the plight of the indie artist, but an average consumer is not going to put in the kind of work you are suggesting. And with the apple store, they at least have a chance to make money on volume
Wheel of time is not summer reading. The series stands at about 7000 pages right now (No, for the uninitiated, that is not hyerpbole). I actually enjoy the series, but I long ago lost the ability to remember many of the cast of hundreds that poulate the book.

All over the world, people are writing uninformed opinions designed to get a reaction rather than educate. Apparently, Some of them make Slashdot.
Jennifer Garner was seen meeting with Yassir Arafat in an abandonded warehouse, while Victor garber waited outside.

The actual translation is:
Keep information away from Moose and Squirrel.
And it would only cost $80,000,000 a year to regulate. We'll need to invent a new tax to pay for enforcing the email tax.
