Java has maybe less APIs, but for developing on quite few different platforms. C# is one platform only and still BETA. Guess all you get is less APIs than VC and still no portabllility

In OpenOffice you don't need to insert it's already a fully working part of document. Spreadsheet can calculate over pages and between section in writer document
