if this system resulted in American Soldiers getting killed seems like a no brainer to put a CEO in jail. Lots of theses systems appear to be money making scams, but if there were actual consequences to their failure I bet these companies screaming to waste US Taxpayer money on them would dry up fast.
Valve's Steam show what happens when you update your business model. Everyone knows there are almost no distribution costs so you can periodically deeply discount your products and you actually make a lot more money than keeping them priced high all the time. In fact, after the sale after products return to regular pricing Valve says they see a sales increase then too. So if by copyright holders sacrificing by missing out on huge boat loads of cash for clinging to outdated business models and trying to get governments to be their personal copyright police force, then yes, copyright holders are sacrificing making money.

Bin laden could have never of dreamed of how successful he would have become and must be laughing in his grave that Americans are allowing organizations like the TSA to do this.
the tsa is hugely expensive and provide no actual security that is going to stop a terrorist act. Those funds should be put towards agencies like the CIA and FBI to actually put people out in the field to infiltrate and disrupt these networks like they use to do back in the day when they were effective.
any of these services where you upload your own music is a red flag. Get slingbox and do it yourself if you want access to your music through the internet.
really? bombing? Oh, and the bomb you are talking about using probably costs more that $1 million even for regular ordnance after the military gets done handling it.
you are seriously trying to get people to believe the NSA would only look for bin laden in the middle east? Learn about how people can travel geographically you fucking septic prick.
wonder how fast this would die if the company that wants to get paid for this had to sell them at cost for no profit and the highest paid employee was not allowed to be any more than 20x the lowest paid employee with no other benefits or stock allowed.
I mean droid or android, there is no way people would confuse those right? Motorola has fallen a long way and it looks like they are not done yet. They may go bankrupt instead of chose to actually compete in the marketplace instead of trying to bully people unfortunate enough to buy their products.
or they realized there was lots of risk with the cloud and they did not want their resources to disappear and have little way to get them back on line other than yelling at a vendor. If anything the Amazon EC2 outage showed is that you should have a backup or a local resource for when the cloud fails. If you have to do that anyway then it is not as good as people are trying to make it out to be and the same or more work.
one thing that is not stressed or practiced nearly enough with CS is interaction with people for activities like requirements gathering and maintenance (which is ~80% of a software life cycle). There are jobs where you are handed a spec and you build it with no contact with the outside world, but all the jobs I have ever had require the ability to interact effectively with people from all walks of life.
make sure to opt out of the naked scanner.
if you are too scared to leave your house then stay home. People don't need naked scanners or to be groped at the airport.

you are seriously trying to get people to believe the NSA would only look for bin laden in the middle east? Learn about how people can travel geographically you fucking septic prick.
