Seriously, this is sad because the good scientific point of view would probably be "there is a significant risk, we need more studies to examine it." but given the political atmosphere, if you do anything short of yelling "Armaggedon ! New Orleans was the first one, New York is the next !" you ill not get any audience and will be discarded. Seriously, it is only a few years since politicians are concerned about global warming. Look at what forced them to look into this issue.

I would also say that I don't really understand the tone of the /. post here. I have read half of the 143 pages and I must say Jacobson has made patient and correct statements all the way of the interview. It must have been really frustrating explaining how MAC and IP address work to a lawyer.

  12. Re:When in reality on Windows Vista Keygen a Hoax · · Score: 1

But do we know how many valid keys exist in this domain ? After all we have seen MS releasing a key protection scheme (I believe it was for Win98) where you just had to provide a key where the sum of specific digits would be a multiple of 7. There was something like 36^12 possible keys but 1/7th of them were valid. Or was that also an hoax ?

Anyway, it really depends on how much valid combinations exist. If they tailored the algorithm to only accept a few billions of combination they are safe but if they allowed 0.001% of combinations to be valid keys, well... brute force remains a valid option.

Well some people suggested that the NASA already made experiments about sex in space. Officially only plants and animals were observed, but the goal was clearly to know if a human colony would be sustainable in space. According to the wikipedia the NASA had created a pool for humans to "experiment" in microgravity. It has also be noted in the past that the proportion of women astronauts is higher than the proportion of women scientist in ground based labs. It is a too strategic question to know if sex is possible in orbit to have not been the subject of experiments.

As for cleaning a sperm mess I think it would be quite easy as the substance is very sticky and tend to stay in the form of a blob, not easily breaking in a thousand of little drops.
