    If your going to outsource your IT security or operation to a (call it ) non-local firm make sure that when it comes time (and it will) you can sue them into the stone-age. Try calling their Legal Dept, If they route you to a Oklahoma Based call center your pretty much doomed. If they can't get people from a somewhere civilized part of the world you might as well for get it.

I was banking on the big future demand for waterboarding and electroshock I haven't had such bad news since they asked for my AIG bonuses back.     On the whole I do regret heckling him back in the 70's at those Trekkie cons now. But it's not a bit surprising that writers for pop media got the same screwing that performers got from the record companies. On the whole the franchise dove ass first into the mud when Gene died and hasn't even looked up let alone make a good bit of work since then.

    Well the same could be said for the managers who don't have a single clue what the programmers are doing and just using them to pad their dept. The more difficulty a project the more levels of management from the top will require to translate tech speak into management speak. This is what happens when you hire jerks out of college with MBA degrees and a society that thinks people in Suits are better then T-shirts. for fricks sake they are making techs wear ties in some companies. The part in Matrix where Neo is talked down to is a businessman's wet dream.

    We need to make sure the company we work for has a clue before we sign on. If no then its going to be hell and they deserve the no docs approach.

    I would add that to.. Cellphone users, noisy children, people who talk back to the screen (except in Rocky Horror) and morons in general. I wait a few weeks and it's on DVD big deal. The only ones I ever go to are stuff like Dark Knight in IMAX once they get a home version of that I won't go out ever.
