It's a SELF IMPOSED ban. Meaning he won't go into an airport until they change the law or regulation so he does't have to prove who he is in order to fly. Nobody is saying "if this guy shows up, don't let him fly".
That could very well be a local requirement of the phone company, bank, utility, etc...
On all government forms that require an SSN, they have a section that says "Giving your SSN is not mandatory, but it could lead to failure to obtain required service, etc etc..."
So, you're not required to give your SSN to the bank or the phone company, but then they're not required to offer you service, either.
the orchestral theme to FF VII was on the "FF VII Reunion Tracks" CD.. it took the best 16 songs from the 4 CD soundtrack, and stuck three orchestrated songs at the end... the overworld, Aeris's theme, and One Winged Angel.
If you bought them "for her", I'd expect her to keep the CDs. Course, if you were buying her flowers, dinner, etc, sounds like she was totally using you. Sorry about the CDs and stuff, and the text message spam is pretty funny. (:
HardOCP wrote an article saying that Infinum Labs is a sham, and we'll never see their "Phantom" gaming console.
Infinium decided to invoke legal action to get HardOCP to take the article down. Now, they've decided they've spent too much money, and are backing off.
A spinning mirror behind a lens with all of the cameras trained on the mirror, and synced up with the rate of spin... would allow plenty of cameras in a ring around the mirror, and could be recorded nice and fast, limited only by the speed of the mirror.
I'd say T2 made tons of money... Made back 1/3 of the budget in the opening weekend, and went on to make over five times it's cost (that's 500 million USD) in worldwide theater sales. Not to mention the 3 or 4 different versions on VHS and DVD that have been released. Their costs have been recovered... and then some. So why put all this DRM garbage on a version of the movie released over 10 years later?
Don't intend on doing it... Do it! Who knows, you could get hit by a bus on your way down to the store tomorrow, and then your family would face all those things you just mentioned. Even if you don't make a legal will, make a list of your passwords and stuff and put it someplace that you think will be checked soon after your death, or put it in a safe deposit box, and put the key someplace noticable.
You ask a good question, even if you don't know how to use the "enter" key.
Yes, soldiers are allowed to use webmail systems in Iraq, to write home. It's cheaper for the military to allow them to use personal systems over the gov't lines, rather than make everything go through the military mail servers.
Everything you do on a gov't computer is monitored though. Everytime you send data, it's logged somewhere. How long those logs are kept is beyond my level of understanding, though. And yes, every person who logs onto a gov't computer is aware of the monitoring policy. There are stickers on the monitors, there are pop-up boxes on login, there are things you have to read before you even get an account. If you don't know you're being monitored, there is seriously something wrong with you. (:
Soldiers also know not to send any information home that could endanger themselves or others. They might not be caught sending it initially, but if an attacker knew precise information about troop movements, etc, it WOULD be discovered how they found out, and the sender (if not killed in the attack), would be punished.
If you don't know for sure there's an open network in a given area, would you rather 1: look for an outlet, 2: find a place to set your computer, 3: wait for it to boot up, 4: run the connection manager...
or press a button on your keychain, and get the results instantly (or so). If there are no open networks, you've lost about 10 seconds, and can keep moving. If there are, you've only lost 10 seconds in your quest to get online.
For a second, I thought that was the Greedo Addendum, which states that if the cat shoots first, the rest of the universe ceases to exist when the cat finally escapes from the box and observes its surroundings.
If all you wanted to do was run Office and surf, you could get a $300 Windows machine just about anywhere. If you're a hardcore Mac user, then why would you get the bottom of the line anything? $800 (quoted in the article) doesn't scream "entry level" to me... and if I spend $800 on a computer, I EXPECT it to be able to run 3d games fairly quickly.
Nope, I'm not able to refute my own journal entries... which is why I wrote them. That's where the link takes me, by the way... maybe if you had linked it to your journal's static link, I might be able to refute it. (:
Without the FMVs, I have no doubt that FFVII could fit on one disc. Resampling the textures so they are smaller but still look decent could cut the game size in half again, easily... and I bet it could all fit on one DS cart.
Instead of hacking together a USB charger, you *could* always go to your favorite large consumer electronics store and pick up a Pelican GBA SP USB charger for $9.00. It's exactly the same as the DS, and it even comes with a spiffy 12V-USB adapter thingy for use in the car.
Yes, I have verified that it works, and I didn't have to kill a perfectly good spare power cord or USB cord, and hope that I matched the colors right.
That's funny. (: Install spyware to reward people for not installing spyware on their computers!
I just bought a 20 gig iPod like 2 weeks ago, and it came with both a USB and a FireWire cable, as well as the firewire -> AC power adaptor...

In Korea, only old people swipe credit cards.
Convert all your music to .mid, and you can hold tons of songs on a CD!
You may not... "Use any robot, spider, other automatic device, or manual process to monitor Content"
So I guess that means that hitting "F5" to refresh is right out. OK, well, I won't be using them anymore.
Uh.. yes. 98 was stable as a rock compared to WinME.
Of course, 3/4 of the inmates at the local asylum are more stable than WinME.
The answer is: This is the word the grandparent poster is unable to spell.

And here I was a book about Samus Aran... Ah well.
Who said his homemade scrabble set was regulation?
And the question not exactly matching the answer only goes to prove that there's something fundamentally wrong with the universe.
