if the goverment is allowed to make microsoft rip apart thier os then what prevents them from doing that to other software, i meen it is thier choice, if you don't like it don't buy it and don't code for it.

omg your a moron, if this 'global warming' bs is true then if it is "killing the planet" as you say then if we stop pumping out CO2(which btw is natural and is suppose to exist about 5 times the quantity of O2 in the atmosphere) it will die off, if we don't stop then it will die off, and theres no way in hell it is all us because we dosn't do that much when you look at it from a global scale(we do enough to trash a few cities or so), so if this will kill the planet it is only natural, in which case we should live well while we can, and not stop because if we do we slow scientific progress, which we sorta need to get our asses outta here:)
you forgot the whole notion of the force the atmosphere creates(as the earth spins the atmosphere spins in different dirrections based on where you are), it would push the cables to the side, we may be able to secure them on the ground, but the top would still topple over.

isn't evolution dependent upon what can survive..therefore unless it is all pre-determined this experiment is bs..no way they can make more evolved stuff because the way things evolve depends upon thier surroundings..so unless u get a time machine and send these things into the future, then bring then up to date this is usless..
