I'm okay with access that I control. But to have a device that has to be connected? That's unacceptable. What good is a TV that doesn't work if I don't have internet? I'm financially secure right now but when I was younger and money got tight the first thing to go was cable and so on. Rent, food, electricity, water, gas for the car. Those took priority over everything else. I can see having to let internet go and now my sh*t don't work? Oh HELL no.

I take the attitude that if it's working fine then I don't need an update. If it's not broken, don't fix it. Now if you've got an issue with the TV research the problem and if there is a fix you would certainly want to download it. Other than that though, why bother?

I remember when I was young we had a paper mill that every time the weather held the smell in you'd nearly gag on it. Huge polluter. Now it still runs, bigger than ever, and not a sniff from it. I see that all over. Cement company used to leave dust everywhere and now there's none. We've made great strides in the last 5 decades and will continue to make more. Electric cars will be here soon and more alternative energy is going it. Saying we're not doing anything is a lie. Maybe not enough to satisfy you but it is and will continue to improve.

The Air Force did object to it. They are death on the Army flying fixed wing attack craft. The Army would of course treat the A-10 much as they do helicopters with Warrant Officers piloting them. The Army troops love things that save their lives and the close support of the A-10 in Iraq made it a legend to them.

I solved the overload problem by simply taking all the social media apps off my phone. Now, unless I decide to sit down at a computer I can not get immersed in the cult. I will usually sit down and look through twitter feeds for the day, make a few tweets and retweets and then move on. I ditched Facebook entirely and got rid of 90 percent of my SPAM. I'm astounded at all the people standing, walking and leaning on something furiously tapping away at their phones. Mine is in my pocket most of the time now.

We've got hundreds of special forces troops running around in Niger. Some of them got caught in an ambush and fought their way out of it losing 4 team members. It's not a fucking video game. People make mistakes and people die. I don't know if you know this or not but Trump doesn't go on those missions. It was a routine mission and likely the first anyone in the administration knew about it was when they found out 4 soldiers were killed. I served in the eighties and we had people die from training exercises or just working. Turning 18 year old guys loose with heavy equipment can lead to that. One rolled an off road fork lift, one electrocuted, one rolled a 2 1/2 ton truck. It's dangerous work even when people aren't shooting at you. It's the fucking military. Check out how many Sailors die every cruise.
