At the start of the war they had plenty of experienced and talented fliers but as attrition mounted they failed to keep their pilot corps properly replaced. As the talent level dropped the US fighters were better able to handle the zero. An aircraft is only as good as it's pilot.
I've done some of that assembly line work and if cleaning shitty toilets pays better, and it often does, I'll take that over the mind numbing torture of doing the same exact job the exact same way at the same station hundreds of times a day.

A valid question. I'm pretty sure that a lot of those kid's parents don't have the money to pay for a replacement either. Maybe Apple Care will cover them. That would explain why it's around 1,000 bucks apiece for those tablets.
Your definition is also correct. There is no way to fight a war in an occupied city without killing civilians. In the parent's post however he made it sound as if those guys in that trailer were actually targeting the woman with the baby which is stupid. Even absent the wrongness of that it makes no sense even from a practical standpoint because it's a waste of resources to kill those that can't conceivably be a threat. The only way to avoid civilian deaths is to give up and leave. I can say that I think that may be a good idea but then eventually the area becomes a general threat again. Sometimes there is no good solution.
Like I said, maybe. Collateral damage is not targeting someone. Collateral damage is what happens when a rocket launcher is shooting at you and you shoot back blowing up the launcher and, unfortunately, the people in the neighborhood where the launcher is located. For this reason people usually flee war zones but many times terrorists actually block people from leaving so they can up the likelihood of collateral damage.

I'd be willing to bet my life that President Obama never ordered anyone to cluster bomb a village filled with women and children. I know they are watching so I'm certainly not going to provide them with anything damaging to me. There are ways around this if you know it's compromised and even without this article I was pretty sure it was compromised anyway. Any security that you don't have 100 percent control of isn't totally secure by definition. I know they monitor e-mail and phone traffic. Heh. You know that only Wind Power is cheaper than conventional coal don't you? Well actually Hydro is too. Both of those are slightly cheaper. Solar is much much higher. The green technology isn't being used for a simple reason. It's more expensive. If you triple the price of electricity (through taxes) it will drive people to green tech. If I had to pay triple my current bill (300 dollars today) that would make solar panels not an option but an absolute necessity. I'd have no choice if I wanted to be able to power anything other than a few light bulbs and a refrigerator. I think eventually everything would settle out but initially the pain will be horrible. You keep thinking you can do this without pain and I can see why you want to believe it, the truth is unpleasant. We could do it but we wont because most people are either like you, "let's do this as painlessly as possible" or deniers "these assholes just want to rob us blind and use this fake science to bilk us." Given this situation I'd suggest unloading any property you have near sea level.
