Apple is one of the few patent trolls that actually produces a product. They don't have to live in fear. They have lots of money, lots of patents, and a huge market with an actual profit margin. They're a beast.
The EPA hasn't helped much either. The fact that companies can outsource production to an area where it's okay to dump toxic waste in the fields outback of the plant makes it hard for companies in the US that must spend tens of millions to properly dispose of waste to compete. I agree that dumping poison is bad for the environment but why do we let them do it overseas and then import their products?
I'm also loving Transmission. It functions great on my linux and mac computers. Occasionally a pop up appears asking for a donation but that's about it for annoyances. I don't see a problem with uTorrent running ads or a program occasionally asking for a donation. It's free and if you don't like it you can always use an alternative.
President Obama is not a betrayer. He is an honest politician. An honest politician is one who once bought, stays bought. He performed at the behest of his backers. Strangely enough, the people that back him also back his opposition. Issues like abortion, gay rights, civil rights and other push button issues that get people screaming names at each other and waving signs are only positions to politicians. These emotion charged issues are used to divide the people so that they don't notice their government being purchased right in front of their noses. The irony is that one trip to opensecrets.org will show you who owns your favorite candidate but people naively think that their candidate actually cares about them and their interests.
Is it your view that when someone disagrees with your position he is a hate monger? I know lot's of people that believe that Christianity is based on a book of fairy tales and yet I don't consider them "hate mongers" simply because they don't believe what I believe. It's not hate to state that you feel something is wrong morally. If he had stated that all gays should be shot on sight then certainly that would be hate mongering but his statement in no wise resembled anything like that. The appreciation day for chick fil-a was in response to the backlash they received in the media and by certain politicians. People wanted to show that they appreciated Mr. Cathy for standing up for what he believed. I shop lots of places that are run by people that dislike what I believe. I don't see any reason to avoid them simply because we differ in opinion.
It's up to their people how they spend their money but I wonder how the people in Britain feel about that nearly 1 Billion in foreign aid they've been sending to India.
I find it hard to believe the Navy really wants a single engine fighter. Surely even the Squids are not that stupid. In fact, with the experience of the F-16 lawn dart I would think the military would have dropped the idea of a single engine fighter for good. Of course, from the manufacturers standpoint it's a nice feature. Plenty of replacement orders for all the ones that drop out of the sky.
I don't even care. At this point I am so sick and disgusted with the entire thing I want to vomit. I will probably make myself go vote and I most likely will vote for Romney....and the only reason, the one, the only reason, is that he isn't Obama. I can't think of a single other thing about him that I like.
Why is it that idiots always spazz out and shoot people at random? If they were to target, let's say these consultants then, while still very wrong and criminal, their actions would at least make the planet a better place.
His point is that MS didn't enter the console market to make money in the short term but to take it over and then bend their customers over once they have a monopoly......just like their OS business. Thus in their view things are looking good.
Actually a lot of people used to run Windows just to play games. A huge number. Most of those are now using consoles instead. Many of these now use no computer at all but a tablet or phone for what internet usage they have. I've had little problem moving people to Linux since when I ask them if they use the computer for gaming they almost always reply that they have a Wii or X-Box or Playstation for that (in some cases all three!)
I believe the main reason for the popularity of X-Box is the insanity at Sony. Once Sega dropped out of the market it's like Sony forgot how to compete.
I think when Paul Allen cashed out that hurt MS. In many ways I feel that of the 3 that started Microsoft he was the best. Ballmer is in my opinion a major negative and the cultural problems at Microsoft stem from his leadership.
Libertarians are not anarchists although they are so far removed from the fascism of the Right and the communism of the Left that they must seem anarchists. Both the Republicans and the Democrats stand for Governmental control of the Citizens to the nth degree. The sheer volume of laws on the books in this country guarantees that every single citizen is a criminal.
You're a master of spin. You should be in politics.

I'd pay to see UMG raided! Or maybe there's a torrent of it......
Is that a chopper I hear? Hey! Who are you g...............
It could have been worse. They might have burned the place down with his kids in it.....but then that's the ATF's modus operandi.
Was. You can steal all you want from the little people but I think he got a little greedy and stepped on someone else turf.

I'm sure they'll miss them.

I was surprised to find that the US doesn't provide any aid to India.

You must be right. They almost always just shoot anyone at random. I guess when they unhinge they lose all rationality.
Normal society? Facebook? If that is normal society then society is well and truly fucked.
It would depend entirely on your perspective.

google has plenty of them....help yourself.
