I remember taking a rat stuck to a glue trap outside and putting it in the field behind my shed. I figured something could eat it so why not. The next morning when I walked out there I saw shredded pieces of trap everywhere with cat fur stuck on it. Man, I wished I had set up a camera to video tape that. I imagine it was hysterical.

I think it's more true of the Democrats because so many people count on a government check and they know the Republicans are always trying to reduce those checks while Democrats are always trying to increase them. People that want to get paid don't give a shit about who it is as long as the money keeps coming.

This is the most negative campaign I have ever observed. Nothing compares. The vast majority seem to be voting against a candidate instead of for one. It's reaching hysterical proportions as we get closer to November.

  10. Probably not. I can see a custom ROM in that future though. If not then maybe I'd have to bow to Apple assuming they don't participate in that madness.

The funniest thing to me about the private server, with all the blabbering about it being secure or not, was that the guy maintaining it had no security clearance at all. You can't make this shit up! I remember how fucking draconian they were about security and classified material when I was in the US Air Force and it makes me crazy. How people at the top just blow that shit off while they fucking ream your ass out, taking stripes and giving out bad conduct discharges for minor violations to the peons at the bottom. I fucking hate these people. It's not about Repuke and Dumbcrats it's about the fucking elitist assholes that grind everyone under them under their bullshit while they do whatever the fuck they want and look at you like "How dare you question me?"

Sorry about the rant. I just wish this fucking election was over.

I haven't found many people that really like Hilliary although I have heard from a lot of people that say they will vote for her. I've heard more people that like Trump but there are still more that don't but say they will vote for him. So far it seems to me the one thing going for Trump is that he's not Hilliary. The number one thing going for Hilliary is that she's a Democrat. I know tons of people that would vote for Satan himself if he ran on the Democratic ticket.

  16. I think there will always be an alternative. Most of the crap on my Wife's phone comes from her Facebook app. She refuses to get rid of it as she likes being able to easily converse and share pictures with family and friends online. I tell her it's a drain on her phone and almost qualifies as malware but she tolerates it because of the benefit to her. Then she wonders why my phone works so much better than hers despite mine being 2 years older. Most people are like her but there are still enough people like me that don't like taking shit off of companies when we are paying for a service.

  17. How long do you think that would last? I can barely tolerate ads on a web browser. Something that buzzes me trying to recommend a restaurant would result in me entering to tell the proprietor what a piece of shit I considered him and how there would be icicles in Hell before I'd ever eat in that establishment. That kind of annoying advertising only works if people tolerate it.

  18. I have location tracking turned off unless I'm actually using Google Maps. It's not hard it's a switch on my notification page. It's a power drain I don't need constantly running just like WIFI that's never on except when I'm at home. It's trivial, even my very non-technical oriented wife knows how.

It makes the phone thicker but most of my iPhone owning friends have one so it seems they don't really care about a thin phone. How long before they just build a 3.5 jack into the case as well with a passthru for the lightning connector? My S5 active is about as small as I'd ever want a phone to be. Especially if I have to lose usability.

  25. The funny thing is that snail mail is probably more secure than a cell phone. The lazy fuckers have to get off their asses and actually go get the mail, open and read it. I bet they don't even bother. I wonder what they'd think if you had a modem and simply set up an encrypted BBS for communication? All sorts of tricks you can do if you think about it. Almost anything is better than a cell phone.
