Take a look at webcollage, which is also avaliable as part of the xscreensaver project. It randomly searches the internet for pictures and displays them. I'd say out of about every 20 pictures it finds, at least 1 is pr0n.
For those wondering how to change the cursor, edit/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/icons/default and change Inherits=xxx to the theme you want, where xxx is whiteglass, redglass, handhelds, or core.
There are programs out there that generate random email adresses for a given domain. There is no way Microsoft would do something so stupid. Why does everything posted about MS on Slashdot have to be some kind of conspircy?
A lot of bus companies nowadays have their schedule avaliable in this newfangled fomat called a paper brochure. Not only does it work anywhere, but you don't even need electricity. Additionally, these marvelous contraptions have a more verbose version of the scedule then the LCD bus schedule display.
For those of you saying "share illegal stuff like you're supposed to", think about it like this. He's being smart because when the RIAA or MPAA or whatnot goes to bust people, they won't find anything being served by him that he would have to pay a fine for. Yet at the same time, he's able to get on the networks and download the illegal stuff just the same.
This reminds me of when the Radeon LE came out ($71) and by doing a couple simple things with some 3rd party software and the windows registry, you could make it perform the same as a Radeon DDR, which sold for about $139 at the time.
Whether or not students can get online in class makes no difference. If they have laptops, and are bored, they're just going to play games if they can't get online. No problem will be solved by not allowing students to use wireless Internet in class.
Doing that would involve converting from one lossy codec to another one, which would result in the MP3 having worse sound quality than it would have had when it was in OGG format or if the MP3 had been ripped from the original source.
The message gets sent to all the clients on the LAN so they're all behind the same router. AFAIK this kind of spam has to originate from a local computer.
NO CARRIER
That's a nice generator...
FOR ME TO POOP ON!
If there's $25k involved, I'm sure even a cracker who wasn't bored would give it a shot.
