Just an attempt to generate hits for google here. I dumped Chrome for Firefox the other day for reasons like this. Google controls enough, it's time to take them down a notch. They make some cool stuff but I'm not willing to tie so much into one company.

For the same reason "life isn't fair"

As long as 1% of the total population controls 90% of the wealth, there is no such thing as competition or free market capitalism.

I like competition and I dislike government intrusion but there is a reason FOR government and that is to protect it's citizens, that includes protection from economic crimes as well as physical ones.

The middle class is shrinking regardless of which ideology is popular that month. People are losing their homes left and right, jobs are going over seas and yet still so many people are ignorant to the real issues.

Deregulating natural monopolies doesn't solve the problem. It just hands a blank check to a corporation chosen by the government to fuck it's customers however it chooses.

Free market is an oxymoron to anyone that actually understands what the two words mean.

I have faxed it 4 times, mailed it 3 times spoken to 7 different supervisors I don't know how many agents....... God awful customer service on every single level.

I did however switch fromt he Evo to the Epic 4g. The Evo felt too big in my hands and the epic slider keyboard is superb.

I did some work for Verizon customer service and they were terrible. I'm so jaded by phone companies right now I'm on the verge of going back 80 years and giving up phones altogether. Want to talk to me? Email me. Or if I feel like dealing with it I may fire up skype, but don't count on it.

I work for Verizon and can honestly say that the majority of the call center people don't understand how this crap works. How could the layperson possibly have a chance at understanding it?

Between overages, billing cycles and proration, the average consumer doesn't have a chance. Seeing it from the inside I can tell you first hand, Verizon likes it this way.

The fact that it's politics today just reflects that it was politics back with Bush. The right is getting back at the left for the vitriolic rhetoric they laid on Bush/Cheney/Palin. You could call it karma if you want I guess.

Why are you comparing rooting an Android with the iPhone being locked onto a single carrier? They are completely different issues.

Jailbreaking an iPhone or getting it to another carrier is a far more realistic and desirable goal for people. The fact you can ONLY get an iPhone if you sign up with AT&T is a major issue.

I know iPhone fans like their phone a great deal but Apple is killing their own device by locking it into AT&T's network. I know ONE person with an iPhone now. Everyone else I know is switching to Android phones for this very reason.

I myself would have considered an iPhone if it weren't for AT&T. There is a big difference between rooting a device and not even being able to get it because you can't/won't switch to the lone carrier allowed to sell it.

Honestly, are people like you so petty that you must constantly whine that you don't make as much as someone else? There is a reason you don't see hot women with couch potatoes unless the couch potato is rich as fuck. Every single date I've been on, the first two questions EVERY woman asks, "What do you do for a living?" and "How much do you make?"
