  1. Re:The real problem... on EULAs More Difficult to Read than Tax Forms · · Score: 2, Interesting

no , I think it would be more like there being an EULA inside the lid of a bottle of Jack Daniels saying that it can ONLY be mixed with coke and it is against their agreement , and will not be drinkable if mixed with Pepsi or any any cheaper or home made ( e.g. a publicly available and developed recipe ) form of cola

IANAL but i wonder about this
if you buy a piece of software
there is no contract except the normal agreement of sale
there is no rider to the contract of sale to say that you cannot use this piece of software until you have agreed to further ( unspecified ) terms
so then you open the package rendering the software unreturnable ( part of the contract of sale )
you are then presented with a further contract saying " we have your money now but will now limit the way you can use what you have bought or even not allow you to use it in the manner in which you thought you could -
agree to this or we will prevent you from using that which you have paid for "
okay i know someone will say but you buy a car and then are not allowed to drive it as you would necessarily like to ( e.g. , 100mph ) but these are rules of which you were aware before you bought the car
i guess what i am saying is that for my understanding the EULA would have to be incorporated into the contract of sale for it to be enforceable
but then again i could be totally wrong !

You talk about lossy and lossless compression if this stuff was so good then surely the music recording industry would be using it however the truth is that most sound engineers dont like the standard that is being used for cd's and most professional recording equipment is moving from 16/44.1 (16 bit , 44.1 Hz )to 24/96 ( Do I need to explain this too , just trolling in this line ). IMHO MP3's sound terrible , and I wont use them . 8/22 ? - A Trade off ? god , it goes beyond trade off that is abysmal and unlistenable .

I think it was stated as the Peter Principle e.g. :
"work expands to fill all time and space available "
the example given being that if you have 5 minutes and a corner of a desk to write a letter thats what you will use
however if you have all day and a whole office to use you will use it all
my god , the thought of a 120TB .DOC being sent in an email......

now re-calculate the probability taking into account the billions and billions of particles that make up a human being !!

start with a basic word processor and then enable it to have plug - ins so to avoid the bloatware factor
that way you could have a program that would do what you wanted by loading in the appropriate plug-ins

need graphics handling , plug it in
