How do you think if one day your super-powerful-bossy woman in your office come out and say, "Could you give me some of your sperms, because I want to dupricate it.". Then months later, a pair of your sperm is on Science journal! Can't you see any amorality?
I would note that the satellite which Korean DMB service is using is Japanese satellite shot by JAXA (not AJAX). And Japanese broadcaster lent half of its band capacity to Korean broadcaster. So I can say they run on really same infrastructure.
No, IMAX runs at 48fps and has lower resolution than the one being talked here.
Their SHDTV set is already working at 60fps in closed system. What this report say is 30fps THROUGH IP network.
I always hear this kind of complaints from sore losers.
>ASIMO for instance. It seems like a really advanced piece of tech (and in many ways it is), >but the way honda shows it off is misleading. If you've ever seen their labs then you'd see >that ASIMO stays in a nice special closet like area, all the reasearch is done on seemingly
I think ASIMO pretty much deserves that place. As an experimental autonomous robot, ASIMO scored 80 points while all others could earn 20 points maximum. Honda might advatise that it will do 100. Nothing wrong with that. They are leading.
In my experience, US reserchers/media tends to kill achievements from overseas. Why? It's because of huge ego people like you pose. "Everyone has to be behind US so that we can feel safe.". And that made you write a loser's comment.
>much different then what you see coming out of Japan. The Japanese are just more about pride >and less about the tech, they do something minimal and shout it to the mountains.Take Honda'a
Recently Japan has got some stereotype as a robot nation, so you are just seeing many researchs from Japan as a part of the fad. Wierd, low-tech, advanced or not, usually these kind of researchs were silensed before they hit US. For example this research of high speed arm has been undergoing more than a decade. And you've seen this first time, right?
On my home network, I have 3 wireless routers and 1 DSL modem. There are always 6 devices connected with cables, and occationally 8 additional devices connected wirelessly. Imagine how they look like without rack mount feature. It's quite spagetti-c.
Oh, well, Ain't this book about simplifing network? No? *sigh*
I don't own any UMD movie yet, but I tell you your brain is well poisoned by someone.
That's where MPEG4 encoding comes to. With MPEG4, 1.8GB can contain movies as good as 4GB on DVD can, which means it hasx 720p quality.
You don't complain about CD contain ONLY 60min of audio where 600+ min of MP3 fit in, well do you? UMD has later technology than DVD has. It's possible.
* X Buttons:
Sony has fixed this problem before US launch and you/I don't have the problem. You are believing a rumour which is about a year old. And you don't have anything to back your claim up now. I owns PSP and I can see its quality is no less than that of home console machines.
* UMD:
UMD has been somehow in successful position. I have no doubt with this. Compare it with DVD at its first year. DVD was protected tightly as well. I guess if it is fully opened and rewritable by anyone, UMD and PSP wouldn't be this successful. Seeing bubbling interest in piracy on internet recently, I don't have any opposition about it. For game developers, actors, movie directors, and Sony, it must be too dangerous to make it open.
As other has already stated, JPilot works as a Palm Desktop. It looks classic, but pretty stable. And you should check Ximian Revolution which is a nice mail client with lot of features (similar to Outlook) with Palm support. It's bit heavy application, but that would be no problem unless you are using 6 years old PC.Stick with these two.
Mozilla Thunderbird and Sunbird, which I always hope they can, do not support Palm yet.
> And that's just Americans. You are also looking at the fact that civilians were being > organised to mount suicide attacks and to provide extra backup for the army, and > everyone was expected to fight to the death -- "Death before Dishonor."And that's just Americans.
Oh, this is interesting. Right now, there are countries which have sucidal bombers against United States (well, They're not clear about what they are against sometimes). And you gonna say they're organized by government? And can that be the reason to drop A.Bomb?
What would you think if our beloved United States were attacked, and millions of civilians were being killed indiscriminately, and there were no hope that enemy kept your family alive. For example, U.S. soldiors tended to kill enemies even if enemy has surrendered, and U.S. did destroy other cultures and enslaved other countries. Let's assume we face them as an virtual enemy. What would you think? There isn't a place to escape.
As a person once lived in Japan, I can say their core-thought and culture is not much different from that in the past, before A.Bomb. There are many attempt to justify a use of A.Bomb. And yours are so weak. U.S didn't know about them. But United States citizens stereotype has been changed since we dropped the bomb. Little sympathy made stereotype so much better.
Can't wait until you start saying "Iraqis are so nice now, because we bomb.". Last year, you didn't heard of any story about how Iraqi culture really is, did you? Why not?
If I were him, I would just drop 999,990 of 1,000,000 daily emails at ramdom so that everyone will get fair chance to get read, and still I can save my time.
There's no need of intelligent filters or dedicated department, really.
In Japanese case, they were originally calling that king of thing "Diary" for a decade and recently start calling it "Blog" as they think it can get more attention. That's why there happened to be so many blogs suddenly.
I have no idea about China/Korea since their blog system is most likely on the server which their governments have a control to track or shut down.
My eyes are bleeding on their specs.

PS3 vs. Xbox 360
·
· Score: 0
Although PS3 handfully outclasses Xbox360, I think they both will do fine. Their marketing method are insane to me. Sony and Microsoft are like stamping a market with their full might. They will sell things no matter how better it performs.
By the way, Nintendo Revolution should be cheaper. If people like me finding themselves hard to pay $400+ for console machine, it'd be a choice. So until it comes out, I will take Gameboy Micro (or DS) attached to my bag. I guess Big N is also doing good. I remember Nintendo didn't reveal as much exciting spec as Sony/MS did.
In Japan, some trains is offering trial wifi access service while trains are running (up to 120km/h). Bullet train (Shinkansen) between Tokyo-Osaka is also under a trial searvice and the report says 99% connectivity has been achieved in early 2004. They are planning to start the service in 2005 with NEC's support.
NEC reported it can connect wifi device inside vehicle running up to 330km/h in 2003.
If you agree with that web page, it means your brain is distorted, like the most U.S. people who believe "Remember the Alamo!" is a symbol of U.S. patriotism.
Yeah, "Remember BRABRA!" has always been there whenever we're in trouble.
I know that the page could be distorted ones. I'm giving a counter-example since the poster has posted only *distorted* pages as reference ("chosun" and "hankokki" are both Korean and right-wing news site). I just want someone to notice there have been completely opposite opinions. I don't care which one is correct. Important thing is... we can have third perspective with them.
I agree with you. Interesting to see Korean view of the world.
Problem is (seems to be?) that because Japan is a strong country, anything they say or write is more likely to be taken for granted overseas. Korea can shout all they want, they wont be heard.
Problem would be Korea doesn't have any evidence to support their logic. Korea seems to want Japan to teach "Japan is/was such a evil" like Korean goverment teachs its own people now. Wow.
About "Sea of Japan" issue, Read about this . this might be interesting, too.
Well, You're referring wrong site. It's Chinese site. You should be aware it has strong bias. In this world, only China and Korea are saying about it which doesn't seem to have any evidence so far.
Having strong censorship, both two become stupidily unreliable on this subject. Opposing everything Japan does has been a political trend for DECADES in such countries. Because they could beg tons of money by saying it. Latest one is this, "Having made their history up based on Japanese textbook (since they don't have some of record to referr), and forcing Japan to rewrite its textbook.". Weird logic, isn't it. Politicians in these two countries don't want to admit their long-running lies to their people. I heard this from my friend in Japan. So this could have bias too. But actually China and Korea are not developed country with mature politics.
If you'd like to get correct information, just read news in any countries but Chinese and Korean, (and Japanese for fairness).
FYI, here is a rough translation about photographs on this page from top to bottom. I think you could find some more interesting stuff from them.
1. Flowers that made loudest sound. They explained the one which has large area and dried surface like a cone paper can make good sound.
2. A diaphragm with magnet and coil. Unlike normal driver unit, this generates wave only to vibrate plants.
3. Inserting flowers into a plastic pipe on the diaphragm to pass vibration throughout plants.
4. Putting more flowers, impacting them into the tube and spleading leaves make sound louder.
5. You're able to feel plants' fine vibration by touching them.
6. Standard model using a diaphragm and an acrylic plastic tube.
7,8. This model has an amp, FM tuner, and power source.
9. This one is with illuminations.
10. Flower vase based model.
11. This planter model was using gum tree as speakers.
12. Attaching stems to a poll to drive vibration.
13,14,15. Monkey dish model. It looks like normal thing, but actually has speaker jacks at the back. It uses a bamboo pipe instead of an acrylic tube to save its appearance.
They also mentioning.
"So far, there isn't accurate data about biological effects on plants. But in our experience, it seems vabration revitalizes plants and expands their lives."
PS2 is currently a dominant in a console market. But I never heard of Sony being a monopoly anywhere. Sony is a huge company but always living with its competitors.
XBOX is tough, simply because it has nearly infinit amount of money behind to eliminate competitors. If you consider the actual profit XBOX is making, you'll be aware it is doing radiculously poorly. MS will keep doing this until they have slautered all the competitors or until the market has become unprofittable.
Think about our country where XBOX has gotten a place to sit. There is NO LONGER SINGLE PLACE where the competitor can grow in US. Isn't this a shame?
Can you say this is "the essence of competition"? If you say "Yes" and not giving a reason, I'll say people like you make world worse.
try this to see it actually working. Somehow it seems more useful.

Actually I'm a somewhat impressed with babelfish, it translated this article as the interestingly titled "Segway in financial difficulty", and comments are marked as "splendid discernment" or "it is funny".
Sure most of the comments are incomprehensible but it seems better than last time I checked a year ago.
OK. Let me take your comment into the intelligent babelfish translator from Eng to Jap, and feed it back again to get English comment.
Actually me babelfish it can impress is somewhat, "element clear forcing discernment" "the strange" way title could be acquired interestingly, because "Segway of difficulty of public finance", and comment has been attached sign, this article [ slashdot.jp ] it translated. You cannot understand the majority of comments truly, but I year to be better than the end which was inspected seem the way before.
Wara. Even yours is going to ruin, partly incomprehensible. Just say babelfish sucks, i think we need some altanatives.
I have same Belkin USB Wireless Adaptor(model no. F5D7050B)
Belkin USB Wireless Adaptor has different versions with different chipsets depends on when it's manufactured. Mine was with RT73 chipset.
And, yep, it works with ndiswrapper 1.8. It doesn't work with ndiswrapper 1.7. So be careful.
