Waht about adding a de-contamination process to the airlock? Like on reentry you get bathed in some sort of liquid or gel that washes away or grabs the dust, before you're allowed to take the suit off?

You know, that link actually works for me...
But then, my machine's hostname is devnull, and I run apache on it:)
Not really. When I was working out in the field as a computer technician for a major New Zealand IT firm, most of the intermittant crashes were fixed by replacing RAM first, CPU second... It was actually only pretty rare that it was an actual software issue (spyware or otherwise)...
And this was on 2 - 3 year old hardware that had been burned in quite well.
Alternatively, you could just do something similar to how Novell E-Directory works (and possibly other LDAP implementations)... A group container is setup for the group that administers the Apache webserver, then you give them write access to the Apache config container and all of its sub-containers...
I would beg to differ on that point. It may not be an 'offical' word in your Oxford English Dictionary, but it follows the same rules as 'belatedly'. And - English is not a dead language - it is allowed to evolve according to the rules of gramatical construction.
Agreed. I've had mine for several years now, and it's never broken. The knife is still sharp - without having had to sharpen it. All the tools are in great nick. And you can even fit a pen into the leather carry-case - perfect.
It would make more sense to me if, rather than it were dependant on the popup code, the browser simply locked its internal function call that spawns a new window, unless the site is authorised to do that...
"Blue Rose, obey me!"

Hey - where'd Aphrael go anyway?
Maybe, but even so I wouldn't be willing for her to give me oral sex... :)
Do you want to volunteer to attach these cameras to a shark?

Go on then, make one.

Rights inheritance is your friend.
any computer repair shop worth its salt should know that replacing the ram is the first step in fixing intermittant crashes.
already happens... it's called microsoft software... sadly, the rate is closer to 1 in 200,000 bytes :)
Assuming they have reverse DNS.

You mean it's not done that way?
nope, not me.
What about the AAA? Or even in AA?
C'mon, computers are infinitely faster now.
Well, maybe not infititely faster... if that were the case anything would load instantly...
even so, on my win2k sp4 system it only uses 160KB memory.
On my Win2k SP4 laptop, notepad uses 1,652KB memory, without a file..
:)
Huge difference even between Windows versions... try turning off your Windows XP themes
Into running bloated software, of course.
I agree - I switched to Dvorak about 3 years ago now, and it's been great.
:)
I use Dvorak at work, but sadly HP/Compaq don't make Dvorak keyboards for their laptops, so I still have to use QWERTY on it.
On QWERTY I average about 95 - 100WPM, and on Dvorak I average about 110 - 115WPM. (According to gtypist.)
Mostly I just prefer Dvorak because it's easier on my wrists. (Plus - my co-workers HATE using my keyboard!!
Not to be a troll... but who said Einstein was right?
On the other hand, in this day and age do you really expect to pay for software that doesn't come with an EULA?
Probably not. Then again, in my country citizens can't just sue companies for millions of dollars for an injury caused by the customer,
