You're a cyber cafe, not a shop that's set up with local accounts. Mail should be of one of two types:
Webmail/remotemail/etc, in which case, the mail actually doesn't get sent from your servers, it goes through the webforms/ssh/whatever to be sent from the remote server
Mail from actual local accounts for the Cafe's staff. This mail should be filtered to your mail server, and should only be forwarding mail from those accounts. Setting this up is fairly trivial with the many AUTH-before-SMTP methods out there.
Either way, your proxy server should have a default DENY outbound port 25 EXCEPT from your mailserver, which itse'f is handling the authentication for the few accounts that really are allows to send mail.
Yeah, but does the work for numbers over 20?
38*35
(40-2)*(40-5)
40*40 - (40*2) - ((40-2)*5)
1600-80 - ((40-2)*5)
1600-80-(200-10)
1600-80-190
1600-280
1320
Nice round numbers that you can do in your head
I use this method a bunch, in various forms...distributing wierd values over things.
What's 19*19?
Well, it's 20*20, minus 20 (20*19) minus 19 (19*19).
Which is (20-1)*(20-1), which is (20*20)-19-19+1, or (20*20)-20-19.
Where did I learn this? I'm not really sure, since it was never actually taught to me, but I think I might have picked it up from Schoolhouse Rock. Go figure.
Agendas, like the full inculsion of scientific evidence as a basis for making policy decisions?
I mean, who really _cares_ what lead exposure does to kids when determining what the exposure guidelines should be. Or how many degrees an additional 50 million metric tons of CO2 makes the air emperature rise by.
Yeah, those pesky Nobel and National Science Medal winning scientists, just trying to promote their agendas for personal gain.
Currently, everything, including TV and TiVO, is served by my main computer, and while that works well for a single guy, it doesn't work so well for a married one.
Not to be a troll, but why not? That's exactly what my 2 tivos are doing, one in my living room, and one in the bedroom that my wife loads playlists up on in the morning when getting ready for work...
I don't know, I don't think I consider 1 out of 6 (one admin for every 5 teachers) "very large". Every admin that's running copies, typing handouts, collating grades, and handling discipline matters is freeing up more time for the teachers to actually teach, and not cry about needing more prep hours in the day.
I have yet to find a public school around here that's actually staffed to it's "full" level. When I find one, I'll make an employee count and let you know what they're doing
Maybe where you liev that's the case. That's not the case in such backwater states as, say, Florida.
When my daughters start school, they won't need to take calculators. They're going to need to take things like Tissues, colored cardboard, notepaper, and pencils, to share not just with her class, but the entire rest of the school, because in order to be able to affort that math teacher this year, they cut $30,000 from the supplies budget. Personally I agree that educators today are getting lazy - but you can't pass the whole buck on to that; there are some serious problems with education right now in the US that have nothing to do with Lazy and everything to do with "We can spend $100,000 on new equipment to keep us safe frmo terrorists, or we can keep those 3 teachers employed".
And thanks for bringing up dittoes. Now I'll probably get hit up for a request for 5 gallons of that ugly purple ink.
However, both you and many of the posters in this thread assume the person who submitted this question has a DirecTivo - when he specifically says his Tivo complained about the lack of guide data, and he also had questions about his DirecTV.
Also, only very old (ok, maybe not VERY old, but old-as-in-old-style-case) Series 1 Tivos won't support the USB ethernet. As I stated, the Series 1 60 hour Tivo I have in my bedroom, once it upgraded to version 4 of the software, recognizes my Linksys USB Ethernet dongle with no problems. It's not a matter of it not working on Series 1, it's a matter of the old-old Series 1 Tivos not having USB to support.
Your DirecTV only needs the connection if you try to order PPV stuff directly through the box. You can still call them up, order that way, and the box will get the approval signal over the air.
Your Tivo, though, needs to contact the service to download updates and guide data. All Tivo's with USB ports (Even Series 1 Tivo's, I have one in my bedroom) have USB-connected Ethernet supported once you get your software revision to 4.0+. Once you're on Ethernet (wired or wireless, both are supported, see Tivo's website for supported hardware), you can use your broadband service to connect to the service and download Guide data and software updates.
The problem is, though, that I have not seen an out-of-the-box Tivo with 4.0+ software - all 3 that I've purchased in the last year are running in various stages of 3.* software, and had to dial in at least once to grab the new software version. You might want to call Tivo and see if they have a suggestion, or maybe even take your Tivo to a friend's house and force it to connect over a night or two to download the 4.0 software before taking it home and hooking it into your home network.
No, caffiene is a true chemical dependency. If the submitted is already dependent to the point that he has trouble staying away for 8 hours, then going cold turkey will cause similar symptoms to going cold turkey on real drugs, like Heroin or the like: sweats, tremors, things like that.
No, cold turkey is bad for chemical dependencies. Start cutting down though,a nd see a doctor, definitely.
Maybe you shouldn't have read the ABridged version of the book
Gandalf on an Eagle.
Either in book 2 or 3, when Gandalf tells everyone how he escaped from Saruman's tower - the King of the Eagles came and rescued him, so yes, he flew on an eagle.
The King of the Dead speaking.
OK, this was artictic impression. In the books, he doesn't really speak, but sorta speaks to the minds of the people there.
Actually, as bloated as Exchange is, it actually does this "right" now.
If I attach a 1 meg attachment to an email to 10 people on my server, rather than saving 10 copies of that attachment in 10 different mailboxes, the server strips taht attachment out, and replaces it with an object reference (which is a few bytes, not a meg). It then replaces the attachment with that reference, and delivers the email. Every person who opens the doc gets the exact same object everyone else gets, which isn't a problem since they can only open it read-only out of the server.
Yeah, Exchange sucks, but this isn't one of the reasons...
You can't do this. Not without hooking up with someone outside of your ISP to provide your DNS for you.
In order to set up a DNS server, the owner-of-the-reverse-DNS address (i.e., blahblahblah.yourISP.com) would have to tag the name blahblahblah.yourISP.com as a HOST. 99% of the time, this also means that said address is static and will not change.
You can not register a primary NS for your domain onto a machine that is not a valid HOST.
What you _can_ do is hook up with someone who is not part of your ISP, and get them to run DNS services for you. From that point, you can point www.gtracer.com to the IP address you're on, and things will work fine. I do this with the IP address of my home machine, inside of my co-hosted servers, so it always has the same name. I just have to peek once in a while to see if the IP address changed.
We were shopping in...um...some supermarket in Charlotte, NC, a few weeks ago. My wife overheard this guy talking about his "manbag" (not manpurse, manbag). It was a "Louis Vuitton" bag.
With matching wallet and eyeglass case.
Not to other men out there: When your Manbag comes with matching accessories, it's no longer a manbag, it's a purse, deal with it.
Does this seem a little ridiculous to anyone else? What is the target market for this thing, Smurfs or Lilliputians who can sit in the middle of and get a full listening experience?
Right now, they're letting two other companies, whose software these guys are redistributing on other ventures, know about it so they can take him to court for copyright infringement.
Maybe not spam related, but will keep them busy in court.
Why not?

That's funny, my improvised fork testing device shows....*BZZZZZZZT*
I think I would follow this with a scared-and-crapping-my-pants face myself, jesus, if this is what they look like, get rid of them!
:(
On a serious note, orangutangs going away is sad

Look at that again, and you'll see where (20*20) - 20 - 19 comes from.... (-20) + (-20) + 1 = (-20) + (-19), or... (20*20) - 20 - 19
I use this method a bunch, in various forms...distributing wierd values over things.

I think you mean RealVNC

BS is the rewrite of BB4, which uses actual shell scripts, to make the modules use Perl and be much more "correctly" modular.
