...that Lindows was forced to release their customer's e-mail addresses under the MS trademark suit (in the January section of the timeline). It's far worse than the jokes that would result if VA Linux decided to sell the addresses of people who use Hotmail & MSN for their Slashdot accounts (and not just the dummy accounts, mind you).
mmmm. I'm sure the shutdown of Russia last independent TV station makes them free, especially when the shutdown was allegedly ordered by their president, Putin.
Will this lower prices on normal Flat Panel Displays? It appears a 3D display would cost way more, thus making lower-end displays else less desirable, thus lowering their prices.
..but if Intertrust wins, it could lead to a similar 'media tax' that the RIAA wants people to pay when they buy CD-R's and other forms of recordable media.
...and I supppose you're one of those people who believe spammers when they deny during an interview that they don't send unsolicited commericial e-mail to e-mail addresses they obtain, and also include "reply to be removed from this list" in their spam.
Freedom of Speech doesn't give you the right to contact random people at their private home phone/e-mail address. It was intended to prevent people from being persecuted for voicing their beliefs, whatever they be. A sales pitch isn't a belief, opinion, alignment, etc.
I don't mean to troll, but the likelyhood of exactly 27,000 albums hitting the market on any given year is about as likely as an Athlon box with a chipped die on the CPU running Windows 95 getting an uptime of 30 days. Then again, I did meet a girl at school a month ago in my age group (early 20's) who runs Slackware who's attractive.
What good will copy protection do on TV's if it's not implimented in computer TV cards? Even if implimented in PCI TV cards, it could probably be circumvented.
The music Industry makes in a year what Telecom makes in a week. An analogy would be an 800lb gorilla (RIAA) attacking a 41,600lb gorilla. Thus begins the greatest gorilla bitchslapping of the 21st century.
ProZilla! It's a great download manager for Linux that lets you download multiple parts of a file that are lated pasted togethor automatically. Great for downloading those ISO's off gatech's Linux server...

For the last several weeks, through countless countdowns and test runs, the flywheels have been working like sponges, successfully absorbing the extra energy put out by a braking train. Or, as Robert Schmitt, another transit electrical official, put it, excitedly: "They're sitting here, saying: `Give it to me! Give it to me! Give it to me!' "
This basically means you'll get better performance on any 2nd or 3rd generation triple-monitor AGP cards. They're the ones that have the most use for additional bandwidth. This is just a guess, though.

Neverwinter Nights for Linux is technically vaporware, as it has yet to be released, and isn't going to be released before January 10.
..a non-x86 architecture supercedes chips like AMD's x86-64. But that's at least 4+ years away IMHO.

On the contrary, there are more Commercially published games for MacOS than Linux. The amount of free t-EnOpen Source games for MacOS is the opposite.
