UI, using all the power of XML wrapped up in the XBL integration with XSLT, XUL, SVG and other XML-based markup and integration utilities
as of 1.3b Mozilla xslt support is majorly broken, to the point that is not usable. I am told there are several fixes in CVS but I like dealing with a semmi stable platform.
also Mozilla's Website says that they have no plans to support xsl-fo
your link doesn't display proper under ie 5.5....I'll Check it again on mozilla when I get home.... but next time you post a link about browser compatiblity....well yah....you get the point...
It would be like if you changed the biological classification system so that bears were no longer Mammals. What difference does this make to the bears? None. What difference does this make in how we relate to bears? None. It is simply an arbitrary naming convention. As are all naming conventions.
uhm no.... we use "naming conventions" or "Categories" to group related thing togeather. thus maing them easier to reference. naming conventions should show that all these objects have one or more properties. so that we can easily say Mammal: and you know it is warm blooded I say Planet: and you know -It orbits a star -it doesn't radiate light -it is of size > X
if you include random shit in it (like a bear). it becomes hugely more complicated to talk about something that has all the above properties...that may have more properties in common...
I am very tired of reading flame wars between Gnome and KDE
I agree, 100% both are excelent (but both could be better to) desktop environments to use, both have advantages, and I could see an argument for either one.
Personally I like kde (the Klipper does it for me) but hey I also like gaim, grip, & Glade.
reads doc files....90%.... thats my experiance...some small formatting problems in most docs some large fomating problems in others.
but hey Importing tends to work better than exporting.
but thats ok I save in HTML
HAzzaaa...for standards....now if the W3c would get off there as and make a binary standard I would be a happy man....(pics don't move with the html file)
OK I have only noticed this on my latest computer.
its not only on redraw even just moving the mouse somtimes.. but moving windows makes it louder. it comes from the speekers and goes away if I turn them off but still its crazy....
p.s. My girlfriends, roomates computer talks all the time, no lie, she has a tv card hooked up to cable and ALL the time you hear a low wisper of the the TV comming through even if arn't watching TV at that time....
wow....no need for further reseach here!
Ahhh....... Power Point How I Hate it.....
Open office did a decent job on it though

3 Flavours of Morphix
1. Base
2. Light GUI (IceWM)
3. Heavy GUI (Gnome)
For him I'd suggest He Mod
Base and use that
or Use Light.
Slowest Machine I ever tested light on was a 233 it worked fine
And MS is putting Features in longhorn that KDE had since 2.0 at least.

you compare selling crack to kids with steeling software from the richest man in the world.
yah I can see how both those things are equally bad.
Dumb ass.

I've Been Using ...
....
9.1 Beta 2 for about a month and I have to say
it rocks
it is much beter than Mandrake 8.0....
it is by far the easiest distro I have ever used
and with the exception of Knoppix the easiest to install...:)
I personaly hope they survive....
all of the needed aps are there I only have few complaints....
1. I had to specially select Vi for install and emacs auto installed...(Flame away)..
2. Gnome meeting was not installed...by default
3. I am having trouble changing some of the default loggin, and boot manager stuff....
other than that....I give the 9.1 Beta 2 an A+
give it to any newbee they will be happy
no thats never been done before....
Knoppix

Just look in the "Top-Left" corner of the screen.
