Actually CNN is a much better choice for "news." Slashdot is more a place for stuff that may make you think, "Oh, that's kind of cool." You may not think this particular story is cool, but I sure hope that you don't use Slashdot as your only source of information on world events.:)

If you're asking if I could create lvl 60 WoW characters instead of spending tons of time grinding them out, the answer is a resounding "Yes."
Granted, WoW is a timesink in and of itself, but I'd rather waste my time in the parts of the game I find fun.

find . -name *.c | xargs grep -n for\(\;\;
for(;;) seems to be the typical kernel version of while(1).
Or if you prefer clicking buttons, just go grab the Tabbrowser Preferences extension.

I'm curious what (if anything) these text editors have to do with the X copy/paste problem.
Vim/emacs are very sophisticated programs that aren't meant for "newbies" at all. Most distros that I've seen come with much simpler notepad clones.

I don't know... I'd probably rank MS software "up" there as well. I've had quite a bit of trouble with Logitech's mouse software...
