If they don't know atleast one policy of the candidate they are voting for, or if they don't have atleast one accurate/true reason to vote for the candidate, then yes, thier vote is illegitimate. Blind voting is a bad thing, so is voting on wrong information. But it is legal, so objecting to the practice is fruitless, and maybe one day they will become an educated voter because of thier experience in the booth previous.
The atmosphere/temp and sun conditions are probably within the range of some species, but the martian soil is pretty deadly stuff, you'd probably need some GM bacteria to deal with that.
You can eat it too. Also, all the generations and careful breeding practices would make it ideal for indoor hydroponic growing in spaceships/domes etc. But does it produce worthwhile atmospheric regulation per foot compared to the candidates they are now studying?
If the "might makes right" doctrine is good enough for the US government, it's good enough for me. So why should I voluntarily handicap myself? (not saying I commit piracy, purely hypothetical).
It's called MARKETING. There isn't really some overexcited guy screaming as he types on his keyboard, it's just marketing, it's what everybody does. Like the stupid MSN butterfly commercials, there isn't somebody out thier with a butterfly suit harrassing ppl. You don't honestly beleive the ridiculous things you say, troll.
Unless HL2 comes out for a console, I sure won't be playing it. Doom3 is atleast multiplatform, and thus I can play it on my Linux PC(although I was sort of expecting near simultanious release like ut2k4, but its here now). Honestly , half-life wasn't that great, it was the fluke of counterstrike that helped it out.
On linux gaim is very fast, even on my old 450 machine. On windows I guess thier would be the extra overhead of running gtk, and perhaps the porting may not be optimal.
MS releasing the xbox2 so early is a slap in the face to thier customers. With the PS2, and DS, they commited to a long product lifecycle, giving thier customers more years of value and game development, while with the xboxii it's imho too early. I think nintendo tested the waters earlier with leaked reports of an early gamecube successor, but backed off because it wasn't well received EOLing the GC so early, but MS just doesn't seem to care about thier loyal customers of the current console.
I still think that the "Business Libertarians" comment has merit though. There are the "Business Libertarians" who, care about liberty in everything economic, but don't care about social liberties that don't effect them personally. An example would be, a "business libertarian" if given a referendum by the feds on which action to take, out of these two choices; cut business taxes in half, legalise all drugs; would without hesitation choose the tax cut for businesses. The financial libertarians would draw from republicans, they are those who hope for increased wealth from a libertarian regime, and the social libertarians, who want to be legally allowed to walk the streets naked sucking on a bong, wouldn't trust the LP to remember thier values in an accurate manner(polititians lie, and are inconsistant in thier logic out of profession).
Maybe if your showing off linux to morons, you should eyecandy it up a bit with the help of kdelook.org, or gnome equivalent. Linux can be as colorful as you want.
I was on Sympatico when they first implemented thier cap, and the only warning was an email(i never used the ISP email), got a 200$ bill that month, and prompty switched to a local provider that advirtised "no bandwitdh restrictions" or something, been there since.
Really? Q3 faster in windows than linux? What type of hardware you got running, and which distro/win version. Not doubting you, it's just the opposite of most peoples experiences.
Yes, that that chlorine really makes my water taste nasty, hurts my stomach, and often causes me dehydration because many times I go without rather than drink the stuff.
Somebody who doesn't use a credit card, and can only buy from physical retail locations? Don't know about you, but in my location in meatspace there aren't any OS'less, or linux computers for sale, nor are all the components for home-building available(no mobo's or cases here, most other parts are outrageously marked up). I had to buy a desktop with windows, even though that OS never got used.
Here is the console output:

Great writeup. I'd mod ya up if I had the points.
http://gtk-qt.freedesktop.org/ It makes it pretty bareable for me. I pretty much stick to qt and gtk apps though.
The media decided it, combined with the attitude from the whitehouse/pentagon that he became "irrelevant" seem designed to give that impression.

Well if the nerdy geniuses would repoduce more than the average person, instead of less, things would be different.

Oh, no you don't. I will not try random variations on backspace keycombos until I inevitably hit ctrl+alt+backspace.

Like how I always get that stupid MS v. Linux TCO add when I read positive linux stories here at /. ? What coincindence.
Exactly. I was waiting for the clamshell ones to make it over here to buy one, but the day never came, and now it never will.

So are we all Diebold lovers here now?

Is it running a regular xserver, and from which branch. And does this mean that they ported counterstrike natively to linux?
