And your not guilty of the same thing, calling the DS, gimmickboy? Millions of system sales and a huge lineup of mainstream games in development doesn't seem very gimmicky to me. I've said this before, the reason people bash other systems is because the want the one they chose to buy to succeed and have the most games, and they think bashing the other systems with every insult, rumour, lie, anything will make others think twice about thier choice of system to support. Personally, I'm the type that buys all systems, and has n empty wallet :(

It just pisses me off that sony isn't even selling it to us here in north america until march, atleast the DS is purchaseable right now. And the stupid gaming websites are treating it like it's coming out right now, just because they get import units for free, they are totally out of touch with joe gamer, or just sold out to sony maybe. C'mon, this is way too much hype for something that only has 200k units for sale, and in japan only for months to come.

FFIII nes is actually a very good game. And it's rumored that they are doing a remake, not a port, so the gameplay and GFX would be designed with the DS in mind, which could be awesome. Besides portability, how could they improve FF3US anyway?(the psx version already fixes the bad translation)

Try washing the lens(with swab covered in pure alcohol). Then try tapping the laser housing pretty hard(near the lens but don't touch it). If that doesn't fix it, try boosting the voltage a small amount on the laser(fixed all my probs, but if you do it too high it wears the laser out, google can help you here).
