if the games are good. Blizzard and Bethesda have done plenty to be scorned for. But Konami hasn't released a good game since MGSV. I suspect they'll get eaten alive.
in Heaven and Earth I believe. That Marissa Mayer designed Gmail is not one of them. Maybe they asked her what color some of the icons should be and then hired a proper designer behind her back. But even that's a stretch.
Iran was well on it's way to modernizing. Iraq was too. In both cases we stuck our nose in and put religious nutjobs in charge. Saudi Arabia's royalty isn't even slightly religious. It's just something they tell the rubes to take all the oil money for themselves.
Islam is just the Rhetoric the ruling class uses in those regions to oppress and divide the working class. If they didn't have Islam they'd use something else. Here in America we use Welfare Queens and racism. In India it's a caste system. In China it's communism. The patterns are always the same. If you want to solve these Problems you need solidarity with the working class and a watchful eye on your ruling class (Notice I didn't say kill the bastards. China/Russia tried that and they just changed masters).
because it repeatedly punishes the faithful for the sins of the heretic. The Flood. Sodom & Gomorrah, etc, etc. When you think about the consequences of that doctrine it's terrible. Every sin puts you and your family at risk of God's wrath. And don't think they haven't noticed. Over and over I've heard how gays are bringing down God's wrath. 911. Iraq War. Tornados. Mass shootings. London Terror Attacks.
If you're a Christian, and you read you're bible literally, then every single non-Christian is a threat to your family's safety and well being. God's not a sniper picking off the bad apples. He's more the 'spray and pray' type.
while your mind is still malleable and vulnerable. Just like any other religion.
For my part I pretty well nigh hate it all. Our House/Senate/Executive/Judicial is designed to keep wealthy landowners from being taxed and our Jury system was meant to let racist southerners commit acts of terror with impunity. I'd like the English system minus the House of Lords and the state religion. Basically Canada or Norway.
because if you hire an internal team you're paying them in your internal currency while you shuffle money about for tax dodging. That tends to be a lot of (largely imaginary) dollars. So you're spending $20 mil a year on paper and the outsources comes in with a $5 mil quote. Only problem is you're really spending about $1 mil of real dollars and suddenly you're out $4 mil and getting crappy service.
whatever the cable companies want so long as Trump's in the Whitehouse. As for why bother, well, the Cable companies need somebody to rubber stamp their large cash subsidies.
Not saying we get rid of the FCC. It did fine for 8 years of Obama. Let's find ourselves another Obama and maybe give him a congress he (or she) can work with.
they're colleagues. Coworkers. Not Customers. As soon as you make them customers you put everyone of your front line guys in an antagonistic position. That's because customers are where you make money. And they know it. You might appreciate them. Even like a lot of 'em. But there's always going to be tension there. And once you start offshoring (which if you're a medium+ sized company your bean counters will make you do) then all bets are off. They'll fight you tooth and nail.
and nobody wants to pay for it. That takes taxes and people don't want to pay. Also there's the issue of how we use our drug policy to enforce racial segregation. It's no accident (or even secret) that enforcement is overwhelmingly on Blacks and Latinos. That's not me being a SJW, that's just cold hard facts.
IIRC Norway solved the problem by legalizing everything, having the drug administered by professionals in a clinical setting and then when the high was done immediately getting to work on helping the addict quit. It works, but you'd have to be willing to get people to pay for all that.
they just haven't figured out how much they can get away with before even they get thrown out on their asses. But while no one was looking they gutted the last of Dodd-Frank along party lines no problem (hope you don't need a payday loan anytime soon because they're no longer regulated).
I'm reminded of Microsoft during the Xbox One launch where every day brought a new announcement of something horrible followed by a retraction. But that only worked because they had a viable competitor. Unlike the console wars the other side of the political wars is a mess.
how do we deal with people selling a device that exists primarily to deliver a highly addictive drug? I'm old enough to see this for what it is, but I worry about my kids. I for one don't want my kids stuck with various chemical dependencies. This also raises a lot of unpleasant thoughts. Like should it be legal to engineer a harmless but highly addictive drug? I know, if it's highly addictive it's not harmless, right? But where do we draw the line?
employers want to be able to push the gig economy and avoid paying taxes, benefits and insurance. Employees for their part lack solidarity with their fellows and blame them for their poor lot in life while secretly hoping they'll get to exploit their poor lot too. It's a rotten situation all the way through.
It's the law. It's not opinion. There are laws that define what a contractor is and isn't. Uber is breaking them. They then bought off national politicians to look the other way and used complex tricks to hide from state authorities. This is all ridiculously well documented. You're either outright lying or willfully ignorant. Neither is good.
If Uber wants they can campaign to change the law. They can also actively break the law and deal with the consequences (e.g. civil disobedience). They did none of that. Instead they've weaseled their way out of complying with the law (and the established social contracts between employee & employer) all the while claiming they did nothing wrong.
Uber's problem is they circumvent all the legal protections (mandatory insurance for driver, car & unemployment, minimum wage laws, health care, etc, etc) by illegally declaring their employees contractors. When cities fought back by investigating Uber they obstructed justice by dodging police with a complex algorithm.
Uber breaks social and legal contracts left and right. They're competitive edge is that they got away with it when everyone else doing it got shut down.
it's almost as if times can change, or that hindsight is 20/20. See, this is the trouble with the Right. Zero ability to adapt to change. If Russia was an Ally yesterday they're always gonna be an ally, right? Oh, and no shades of grey. Russia's either balls to the walls evil and needs to be exterminated or our ardent friend.
As for Iran, they were well on their way to modernizing before we put a bunch of religious nuts in power. There's pictures of girls in Iran wearing the sorts of skirts that wouldn't have been out of place in 1960s America before we screwed with 'em. And don't get me started on the shit we do and did in South America so Code can sell cheap sugar water.
most of the money goes to the top. Not your Doctors or the infrastructure to support them. Then there's the little matter of 'deductibles', meaning you pay for 'insurance' then you pay for care until you hit your deductible then you pay 80/20 if you're lucky and 60/40 if you're not.
This is what happens when you let middle men run your healthcare system.
I hear there's a shortage of good jobs. But then we'd have to train them. And feed and house and cloth them while they train (don't kid yourself, you can't do intensive training like that while working full time to support yourself, that's why college drop out rates are so high, higher if you consider the ones that didn't get in in the first place).
Once again, this is a problem that could be solved but we'll be damned if we're gonna do it because nobody wants to pay for it. He'll, when you suggest they do they call you a thief for raising their taxes.
with no enforceable requirements. It's a moot point when we pull out. The point is that we've made the gesture to pull out. It's basically a giant middle finger to the rest of the world.
There's lots of pro-Trump folks on/., especially when they were staring down the barrel of a Hilary presidency. Sony Music CD DRM is more popular on/. than Hilary was/is.
But all the folks seem to go missing whenever a story about privacy or Net Neutrality crops up. Yeah, yeah, I know. You can agree with Trump on some things and disagree with him on others. All I'm saying is, you made this bed, dragged the rest of us into it. Now you're damn well gonna sleep in it too. And I'll be damned if you're gonna lie there and pretend you're not getting eaten alive by bed bugs.

Stress makes it harder to cope with any addiction, and the older you get the more stressed you are, because responsibilities come with age.

There's lots of meticulously researched and sourced articles out there. Just because you can't use google doesn't mean there isn't any evidence.
