    So you are saying, that linux makes your screen bigger? Wow, I quess I'll try it right now! Does this screen largening effect also work if used with VMWare? How big will my 15" screen get when using linux? 17"? Or maybe even 19"? Is widescreen supported yet?

    Get your 512XP+ DDR DIMM. 384MB chips that are as good as the 512MB piece...

    Yes, but this happens only after Intel announces their new 1024GB memory, which has only 6 bits per byte..

    Currently, mozilla -mail is not a good option for these users because link clicks and attachments end up going to mozilla browser windows instead of the preferred browser.

    Once we release our first alpha release to the public, we'll add a link here for you to get it. Or you can build it yourself if you are already familiar and comfortable with building mozilla.

    Looks like choosing the browser isn't the largest problem here.. The fact, that the software isn't even on alpha stage yet, isn't apparently worth mentioning in your post.

    I know how much you slashdotters enjoy all gpl/linux/etc stuff, but please, posts like this are really worth nothing.

    They had to remove the guns, when they noticed that the 2000 word vocabulary wasn't enough to understand sentences such as "A robot may not injure a human being, or through inaction, allow a human being tocome to harm." and " A robot must obey orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.".

    Try playing Street Fighter II with a keyboard and mouse. Watch me whip you with a PS1 controller connected to the PC through an EMS USB2 adapter.

    I'll fight you any day on any FPS game with keyboard and mouse.. Or any real-time strategy. Or any typing contest ;)

    BTW, I have 2 pads in my pc, one old in game port and one new wireless in USB. Beware, I can use that other one with my toes and play Street Fighter II against myself!

    Is it just me, or did the whole subject get incredibly borint in that last sentence? There was things like "swarm intelligence" and "carnivorous wasps", which sound all cool, but then you start talking about businessa.. zZz..

    Include something like "using this for world domination" or "free pr0n", and I would absolutely read the article!

    From this control they can pretty much operate all of the primary functions of the train (IE throttle, brake, horn, bell, etc.)

    I'm not a softeare developer, I'm a GIMP artist, so I'm allowed to use a Celeron-600 powered laptop.:p

    Looks like S&M tendencies of nerds also show up in other forms than just downloading hentai pr0n.. Graphics work with a laptop ??!!

    I don't think that the reason your boss won't allow you to run Seti@Home isn't how it slows down companys computers. It's that those suckers take up more electricity when doing calculations. It's gonna cost your company a lot to calculate such things for fun.

    Who would possibly own pc and big screen tv and NOT get a video adapter with tv-out?

    I don't get it. You all whine how you wan't to watch your movies on tv. Well I do, I watch my dvd's, divx, games and stuff on tv. It's like saying how you don't want to order music online cause music quality on those pc speakers is sucky. Most of us have our computers plugged to stereo system, why not connect to tv also? Come on, it's not that much more expensive to get tv-out able video adapter, when you consider what you get for your money.

    But more important is the story line and the pacing. Its slow and methodical and completely enthralling.

    Oh there are plenty of other boring animes around, nothing special there. (Although, I did cry during Graveyard of the Fireflies, but then again, I'm pretty sure my brain is broken somehow.)

    Yes, we definitely need open fonts. I think that closed fonts such as 'O', 'Q', 'D' are bad for the internet. Also partially closed fonts such as 'A', 'P', 'R' and the rest harm the way net works. We should convert all fonts to open ones, 'I', 'L', 'J' etc.
