    Before everybody and their mothers starts flaming them because they use XML as their protocol, I would like to point out that they are using WBXML to send their messages.
    WBXML is a packed encoding for XML, thus saving space and all those that can be highly compressed. Just have a look at the specs, it's not because it has WAP tagged to it that it's a load of crap.
    And then, to those saying that the parser will kill the perfs, I'd like to point out that this protocol doesn't rely on string parsing but _byte_ parsing..

    Or maybe to survey the damage at a post nuclear accident or some kind of toxic gas filled area. Then again you could allways fit it with a laser and paint targets for cruise missiles.

    Are you suggesting we should come up with a device that could allow us to fire a cruise missile on a target that survived a friggin' nuclear accident??? Talk about overkill!

    Also, the genres of games being made show that it's not just for geeks anymore. A lot more sports games, GTA3, etc.
    I don't think I ever met someone who played more Kick-Off than my buddy Yoan and me.

    Could not stand any other football game, but still, please, don't ditch every sport-related as being jocks games. Have you ever tried controlling that damn ball in KickOff ? Just playing that game makes you a geek !

    Ever tried typing keywords in the location bar?
    That gives you a "I'm feeling lucky" search. Just tweak your config in order to point to the standard google page [or google groups if you google for code] et voila!

    Far too many compliments, far too few explanations.

    So you like your music? As I discovered with 9.0, music sounds much better in Mandrake than in Windows. [bunch of xmms screenshots]

    Please don't take my previous post as a flame, I completely agree with your point. What I was whining about was the fact that java doesn't play nice with system libs, as it is 'easy' to import other libs, but exporting java classes to other languages is ...
    Let's say that few people feel like embedding a JVM to their C app :)

    Am I the only one a bit saddened by the fact that Sun botched it with java that much, that we now exclude java from 'generic implementations'
