    Any space battle that has that quote is usually a grabber.

    It was used in B5, ST:DS9, and ST:V iirc.

    Seems about the same to me.
    Responsiveness can be attributed to internet traffic.

    Anyway they could have tweaked performance and still left the interface intact.

    The tabs were damned handy, and I'm gonna miss them.

    No change to functionality that I can see.

    All they did was change the layout.

    With the old layout I could navigate the page blindfolded.
    I had mouse movements down pat.
    The tabs being close to the first search result was handy.
    Now you have to navigate to the very top, center of the page.

    I've never seen a reason to change an interface, just to change it.

    And that alien computer systems are easy to code viruses for?

    The aliens in ID were telepathic and more than likely hive mindish (that's what I got from it anyway).
    As such subterfuge and malicious code writing would be, well, ummm, alien to them.
    Thus they wouldn't protect against it.

    I read a RDA interview on one of the spoiler sites.
    He stated that his char will finish out the SG1 series (thru season 8) and help launch Atlantis.
    His char will be killed off either in one of the SG1 final eps or on Atlantis.

    In one of the early seasons there was a ep called *The Nox*.
    In that ep all four sg1 members were killed.
    They were resurected by the Nox.
    A very advanced race that just happens to appear aboriginal.

    Philip Jose Farmer's The Wold Newton Universe has its own take on Superman.

    He's more like the Golden Age Superman, leaps instead of flying, not nearly as strong.
