I just heard some sad news of CNN - The Scott Peterson Prosection died today at 1. Apparently, they 'flip-flopped' in there prosection of the obvious double murderer. Perhaps they took cues from also-ran John Kerry. Both truly American idiotcons.

I have a question..... if moderators get in a mod war between +1, Funny and -1, Anything else..... is it possible for the person's karma to just get lower and lower or does it ignore an "overall karma" (disregarding funny since it doesn't count) of -1?
I'll tell you from experience, it kills your karma. This account had excellent karma until I started posting only 'funny' comments. Negative mods will subtract(even overrated.) Since you get nothing for funny mods, you just keep losing karma. A single post can kill you if it gets alot of overrated mods, then modded back up to 5, then overrated, etc..
There was a tradition in the radio business of the 1930's of taking shows of other stations far away and broadcasting them as your own.
There is the same trend on Slashdot too. Taking someone else's post and claiming it as your own. It's called trolling and most people here who are anti-copyright/patent,etc and pro stealing mp3s/movies/etc off the internet hate it. Maybe Hollywood should start refering to it as trolling or flamebait. It might be more effective.
