    as far as i know ipw2100 support monitor mode but sister project ipw2200 do not support it. Both are developed by the same Intel developer, so i guest it is only a matter of time :-)

    You just need to sniff some traffic with some tool for sniffing traffic, link Ethereal, and you will get a valid and allowed MAC address.

    MAC spoofing is so easy as running from your command line, if your driver support it:
    ifconfig {eth0|wlan0} hw ether CA:CA:CA:CA:CA:CA

    For a valid list of MAC addresses you can check IEEE list, anyway anybody who is trying to avoid your MAC address filtering is going to use an address from your filter list so you have to check for valid traffic but when you are not connected

    I only knew one from Fujitsu, but it seem it has been removed for end users.

    there is other routing software alternatives, such us, Zebra, bird, openbgpd and quagga (fork from Zebra).
    I find guagga stable and good replacement for some SOHO Cisco equipment, but nothing else.

    a) improve Intel wireless capabilities in their laptops
    b) sell more notebooks
    c) confuse customers

    Intel support Linux. They took longer to release drivers to support it, but actually there is support on at least 3 Intel chipset (Intel 2100, Intel 2200BG, Intel 2915ABG).

    Not exactly, ACC systems take a while to react. It has a typical meassure/calculation clycle of about 100ms, and usually use a couple of cycles to take a decision. So aprox. 200ms reaction time.

    Not really. ACC programmed space-time gap usually is bigger as normal driver, just because normal drivers do not respect forward security distance.
