If Microsoft or whomever could come up with an Asterisk like appliance, with full feature set - call blocking, forwarding to mailbox etc., and easy to use, they would make a mint.
Usually have never taken any.
I have a 4 year degree and have been in the business for about 10 years.
If someone told me I wouldn't have to spend every night after work and every weekend studying for the certs I have passed, I would have jumped at the chance. It may be mindless and easy for some, but for me, it was extra work, that took dedication and commitment to pass.

It is re-usable, but to a degree.
Retina scans only take a sampling of all the available data. If one set is comprimised, a new key can be generated from the pool of remaining data.
Granted, that pool is finite.
It's a good reply for the fact that John Seminal (698722)is putting in terms that a dolt (like me) can relate to.
Not everyone cares about Chechnya. Some care about cutting the grass, feeding the kids, keeping a job.
Including the dish to home feed (no ugly last-mile issues)
I had envisioned this concept further, where the house is a node that receives all multi-media and wireless needs - broadband/cell phone/HDTV.
A big part of this setup for me was, that after many towns have these type of not-for-profit co-ops, they then provide trunks to other commmunity co-ops. We are never going to get anywhere as long as big business owns the backbones. We make our own network!
He seemed to really enjoy life and will be missed.
Nice job guys! I have seen a lot of air force cyber talk, but not much coming out of the Army. Good work.
Well, that is just it. No need to connect to the "internet". Roll your own! Connect up neighborhoods and eventually the world.
Asterisk is too complicated for Mom, Dad and Granny. A simple plug in appliance would be a hit I tells ya.

My point was, the machine is owned by his employers. It is not his property.
"under threat of their machines loosing network access" would be losing network access?
Will all the looser v. loser nipple-heads stfu now?
Excellent responses. Hats off to you both, and much continued success. c_v

This would kick ass for home theater.
There should be two internets: one for business and one for pleasure.

excellent post.
If I looked out my window, past my tv, and saw every cat/dog/squirrel/bird in the neighborhood split at once, I would be starting the car.
"extra power supplies to run demanding programs"
Sure they may make life a little more better, but it's not worth the chance of hardware instability. :cough:
