    If Microsoft or whomever could come up with an Asterisk like appliance, with full feature set - call blocking, forwarding to mailbox etc., and easy to use, they would make a mint.

    Usually have never taken any. I have a 4 year degree and have been in the business for about 10 years. If someone told me I wouldn't have to spend every night after work and every weekend studying for the certs I have passed, I would have jumped at the chance. It may be mindless and easy for some, but for me, it was extra work, that took dedication and commitment to pass. crack_vial

    It is re-usable, but to a degree. Retina scans only take a sampling of all the available data. If one set is comprimised, a new key can be generated from the pool of remaining data. Granted, that pool is finite.

    Including the dish to home feed (no ugly last-mile issues) I had envisioned this concept further, where the house is a node that receives all multi-media and wireless needs - broadband/cell phone/HDTV. A big part of this setup for me was, that after many towns have these type of not-for-profit co-ops, they then provide trunks to other commmunity co-ops. We are never going to get anywhere as long as big business owns the backbones. We make our own network!
