Using a bot for a case would be sweet. I can just picture my next system walking into the LAN, carrying my monitor, setting itself up, and plugging itself into the hub. FragBot....
...almost all these games are over a year old. If I want to play games, I'll use Windows. If I want to get work done, I'll run Linux. It just doesn't make since to use a screwdriver to pound in a nail.

The abortion that is.NET seems to work alot better than the hideous quivering zygote that is VB6, IMHO. In particular C#.
Really, I would say that it depends on the environment. If the back end is Oracle or DB2, I'd probably go with Java; if it's SQL Server I'd be more inclined to go with.NET. I'd also go with Java if your IT department had any plans to change platforms in the future..NET and company allow MS to keep a string tied to your IT decisions unless you're willing to abandon your code.

Does this mean that I'll be able to use the standard 802.11 card I have on my laptop to pick up signal from 802.11 broadcasting hammers on 2.4 ghz, or are they on different channels? I know that a hammer can use much more powerful antennae; does this mean a ham based 802.11 AP could provide omnidirectional 802.11 internet service over several miles? Or is all this just something for ham geeks to get excited about and the rest of us to get irritated about when the hammers start causing interference with our preexisting WAPs?

I just don't have the pocketspace for both a PDA and a cell...

...what effect a 3D display like this might have in terms of eye strain. If something like this were to become really widespread and used for day to day applications and GUIs, it's something to consider. Anyone out there that has worked with similar displays have an answer?

There are also good technical reasons why NASA uses "obselete" computers on alot of their spacebound equipment.
