Hello Mr. Shatner, I became a fan of Star Trek after my dad took me to see Star Trek II long ago. It's also the film that ignited my interest in film scoring. The downside to this, is that ever since the original crew left (as well as the lack of James Horner's music since II & III) Star Trek has just seems really "small" and rushed. I could go on and on, but I'd like to know what you *really* think of Star Trek as it stands today, or if you even follow it anymore. Thanks, and keep up the good work.
>It is totally, entirely, and completely the fault of poor security at the film distributor.
um, how about it's the fault of the sob who took the camera into the theatre to record it? let's place blame where it belongs.
AppleWorks GS on the Apple IIGS... "A serious system error has occured" and two buttons appeared. The first button said "Reset", and the second button had an arrow pointing to the first button.:)
>Not only can you not read off numbers, but you can't enter in the info they're telling you, write down the appointment you're making, etc. You gotta carry around a notepad and a pen to do that, and that defeats the whole point.
er, no. i'm using a treo and i can do anything else while speaking. (ie.. while having a conversation i switch out to take memos, check spreadsheets, play games, etc. works great.)
When programmers/designers/engineers are experimenting with new game engines, graphics, etc. it starts on the PC. The PC is the tool. When it's polished up and ready for primetime, it goes to consoles. Years from now when HDTV, VGA, and Ethernet connectors are all standard on colsoles, people will be having the same argument about "ease and reliability" on the console, but "my PC has the holo-projector, and it's so much better looking." years go by - rinse and repeat.
it doesn't matter anyway. PalmOS5 is for ARM cpus. So *everyone* is going to have to upgrade. No current dragonball hardware can run it. This is for a new breed.

Yeah that makes sense. RedBook CD audio is uncompressed as well, but having an overpriced, tape-based solution is always superior.
