yes it's just a guy who's having a tantrum because his site isn't a popular as he wants it to be. he dosn't actually seem to have any real reason to hate google other then that. i don't see why some disgruntled old man gets an article about why he hates google, i mean i hate heaps of stuff too, can i have a topic on slashdot too?

i agree. the people who research ads and design them would know if they didn't have an effect. i mean this is their job and life and they are hevily trained. in addition to the ads you think they're watching they can have somthing of a subliminal effect, have you ever heard people (or even done it yourself) sing or humming an ad jingle. that means the ad is stuck in your head, you hear the jingle you thikn the product.
    you've already been brainwashed.

yes this is true. however digital medium that is more durable is getting closer to vinal. it is a huge improvment over cd's and unlike vinal they don't degrage after being played too much. so don't throw out your vinals and turntable quite yet but these are going to be worth checking out.

it sounds like youre saying microsoft have never done anything wrong but that is not actually true. yes compition is nessacary but microsot have a reputation for taking it to an illegal point. you see you cannot do anything you want in the name of company compatition. take for example when microsoft made hotmail unusable from any browser other then internet explorer, they were forced to change it so that it was not so, taht is becease thatis basically trying to force a monopoly.

  16. Re:DVD Burners on Which DVD Recordable Format Will Win? · · Score: 1

unlikly. the lack of a standard is with dvd writers not reading so the format will not die just becease of this, it'll do more damage through the people who may want to use dvd's as a backup rather then the other mediums. as for some smaller businesses that need to backup large amounts of ddata would quite likly switch to dvd's otherwise. dvd's have also got too much notice with dvd movies. so they won't do what beta video players did. as well as that there is nothing to replace them in a commercial market. basically everything else with data storage of their size costs a lot more to make and thus buy.
