You're probably right. I've had the account for years, but just verified is recently. Or, I could be mixing them up with another company. My online broker uses the same technique to verify. Maybe it was they that reclaimed the deposits.
Your account automatically goes back to unverified when you delete (from your PayPal account) the bank account it is tied to. They actually make two small deposits, but they take them back after you're verified. As least, they did with me.
Read what I said! I said it was the mandatory DEFAULT, not the only option. I don't want to have to remember to change it every time I made a payment. Show me where any part of my post was false.
I don't think you are lying. PayPal wouldn't give me my money back when a seller screwed me over until I threatened to just call my credit card company and do a charge-back.
I found out the hard way that when you "verify" your account, the bank account used to verify your PayPal account becomes the primary account. All payments you make through PayPal come out of it by default. I called them because all my purchases were coming out of my bank account and not my credit card. They said the bank account has to be the primary, and the only way to change it was to revert to "unverified," which I did. I like the protection I get from using a credit card. Payments extracted from a checking account has no where near the same protection.
I've always wondered what would really happen if someone who was neither a republican, nor a democrat, actually received the votes to win. Would the Electoral College screw us? Would those already in power screw us? I can't believe the established power base in this country would leave without a fight (or something shiftier).
6) Ah, I get what you're saying now. Yeah, I don't like that either.

The Return of Ada
·
· Score: 3, Interesting
When is the last time you used Ada?
1) See: Ada.Strings.Unbounded
2) Ada leaves that choice up to the programmer (like C++) (see: pragma controlled). The next version of Ada will have an STL-like library, which will at least reduce the need for GC.
3) See: pragma Export(C, Foo, "foo") and Convention(C, Foo). Some compiles even support CPP in place of C, with automatic translation between C++ classes and exceptions.
5) You should always know the type of data you are dealing with (unless you are writing generics, which still has some limits for safety).
6) Ada's dispatching is based on the actual call being made. No need to mark members has virtual (C++) or to just make them all virtual (Java).
How long ago was this? I took AB and got a 5 out of 5 back in '85. Never had a problem with the college giving me credit. Those test aren't very hard. I'm sure a lot of people got a perfect score. I also took Calculus AB and got straight 100s. I couldn't afford the test required for college credit, though. They cost $10 a piece (at the time), and my family was very poor.
No, he is correct. "The Last Man on Earth" is the Vincent Price movie based on the same book as "Omega Man" (Richard Matheson's "I am Legend"). Incidentally, the author hated the Price version, and wanted his name removed from the credits.
I use to too, but when it can time to "re-buy" all the cassettes I have as CDs, I didn't want to give those jackals more of my money. CDs don't were out, and whenever I got a bad one, I've never had a problem getting them to replace it.
Back in college I had this Astronomy professor. The first day of class he would always state, "It's Astronomy, not Astrology, and it's Cosmology, not Cosmetology. If you thought differently, you are in the wrong class." Someone would invariably leave.
You can call "BS" all you like. It happens about 15 yrs. ago when I was in junior college. They were a popular band that use to play at the college a lot. You're having never heard of it doesn't affect its truthfulness. You can sue for anything in this world. It doesn't mean they won.
Not that stupid thermodynamic argument again! How many times you do have to be told that the Earth is not a closed system? It is constantly inundated with energy from that big, red, hot thing in the sky. But go ahead an continue to ignore evidence that does not fit into your simple view of the world.
Dijkstra was a great man, but we shouldn't just shrug off the question because he says so. Great men are not perfect, and are not always right.

I don't use P2P and I don't infringe, but man-oh-man, if this ever happens to me I hope you are free (as in available, not beer).

Unchecked_Conversion reinterprets the bits of the argument as a value of the specified type.
Maybe, maybe not. There are several rules that define what it does, and many that are implementation-specific.
What the hell are you talking about? Ada most certainly does allow for type conversions. It just don't potentially unsafe ones implicitly.
Untrue. It was originally called "duck tape" because it was made with a strong fabric called "duck."

I've been loading up on used CDs. 2-6 each for the same thing Walmart sells for 8-10.

No, the church didn't have a leg to stand on.

A band where I live got sued by a local catholic church because the band's name was "Immaculate Mary."
I've sure "The Party" was whatever it needed to be to fit into the local culture, similar to the advice given in Machiavelli's "The Prince."
No, he wasn't. Oceania was created when the U.S. took over Britain. He was most likely an American.

We are at war with Eurasia. We have always been at war with Eurasia. We have never been at war with Eastasia.
