    They dont directly mod the Xbox.
    They say you need a modded Xbox machine to use it and they are using this clause against possible DMCA issue :

    Everything done on this project is for the sole purpose of writing interoperable software under Sect. 1201 (f) Reverse Engineering exception of the DMCA.

    So they are perfectly legal imho...

    I more like kopete which is a QT/KDE application and supports Jabber/Yahoo/MSN/Icq/AIM etc. Doesnt have a Win32 port but seems sexy :)

    As far as I read on kde mailing lists , resulting software will be Free Software ( GPL/LGPL ) and afaik they will give a win32 port too , but native kde port will be first.

    Gee try to connect MS Exchange Server and you will see why there are RFCs and why they make standatisation

    2- They dont re-invent the wheel?

    Then why they close the source as Linux applications are already %99 Open Source . So they will bring new standarts IMHO .

    Before SSL bug :

    IE had 22 non-fixed vulnerabilities

    Add SSL bug :

    22 +1 = 23 non-fixed vulnerabilities

    Now simple math : 30 - 23 = 7

    Man only 7 more vulnerabilities to let microsoft release a "cumulative patch" for ie!
