There's plenty more room for more platforms in the world, but it's sad to see the once great Amiga being shoved back to novelty value.
And novelty value isn't going to cut it any more. Heck, look at the demise of Be. Great innovative things even miss out. I'm glad Apple has made it so far as it's truly the one platform that innovates out there anymore.

Sadly this is true. By the look of the GUI-screenshots of the OS it hasn't really improved much except for the horrible nightmare of customizable GUI.
If the computers were dirt cheap, maybe they would be good for something. But now it would just have nostalgia value for the Amiga-tinkerers. I live with one so I can relate.
NOBODY expects the nerdmaker.com! Our chief weapon is comfort...comfort and fear...fear and comfort.... Our two weapons are fear and comfort...and ruthless efficiency.... Our *three* weapons are fear, comfort, and ruthless efficiency...and an almost fanatical devotion to the computer.... Our *four*...no... *Amongst* our weapons.... Amongst our weaponry...are such elements as fear, comfort.... I'll come in again.
Yes. Consumers obviously wants this. This has always been availible in Norway for a fee. But a couple of years ago it became law that you own your own number and are free to bring it with you to whatever phone company you want. Even sell it if you have a valuable number (repeating digits etc.) A guy got the random phone number 91111111 and was able to sell it for quite a hefty sum.
This also works if you lose your sim or your phone gets stolen.
It's called ventilation, your mac needs it and it needs it bad through the keyboard. Always leave your laptop open when running. (Don't force it using stupid tricks like rebooting, then closing the lid). I borked my TiBook bad, and it's not covered by guarantee.
OK. Let me take a guess here. You DID NOT READ THE ARTICLE, did you?
"The movie's website is dedicated to the memory of Rodney Lain, a popular online Mac columnist who wrote under the iBrotha moniker. Lain committed suicide in June.
"Rodney was a good writer and decided to take his own life halfway through the production," Barnes said. "It's a mark of respect and a way of showing we're not taking advantage of his infamous passing away."
Like Brother Copland, Lain was committed to promoting the Mac. Although he had a full-time job, he worked nights and weekends selling Macs at computer superstores, just to get the word out. "
Rodney was the personification of zealotry. An unhealthy irrational fight for a computer company. What these zealots doesn't realize is that they hurt the view of their cause rather than strengthening it. Basing it around a computer platform makes it all the more silly.
No seriously. There are a multitude of options opening up with this. I am tired of the "doesn't work for me, why should it be useful for anyone else"-attitude that's evident in people who just can't keep up with technology anymore. (If it's too loud, then you're too old!)
What if it's not 15 minutes until you get home, because you didn't have the train-schedule handy? What if a plane crashes into a building and you have no close by news source? What if you are plain and simply bored and want some fresh entertainment?
"We kind of figured out that really isn't the best way to go about communicating. We decided it was best to point customers to the Windows XP home page." says spokeswoman Charmaine Gravning.
I don't know. I just wouldn't give up the goodness that is the 20 GB iPod for this monsterplayer. I don't see the explicit need for a recording feature either. I prefer high quality rips to anything radio, or bootleg concerts. And on the off chance I need something ripped from Vinyl I do it on my mac.
I really don't see the incentive to buy this. Sorry Creative.
Q: Will MorphOS support any other hardware? A: MorphOS is open to any new platform or hardware. To have support it requires complete specs of the hardware to port the low level hardware code.
Q: Will MorphOS run on Apple Hardware?
A: Not at the moment but it's looked at. Don't expect real information about this until end of 2002.
I for one, would love this! All Amiga-classics running semi-native on my Mac. Cool:)
Wow... technology impaired slashdot-reader, that would be the day.
Just alt-click the quicktime-link and you'll be fine. If that doesn't work, right click the quicktime-link and choose the equivalent of "Save file to disk...".
Today, we celebrate the first glorious anniversary of the Information Purification Directives. We have created, for the first time in all history, a garden of pure ideology. Where each worker may bloom secure from the pests of contradictory and confusing truths. Our Unification of Thoughts is more powerful a weapon than any fleet or army on earth. We are one people, with one will, one resolve, one cause. Our enemies shall talk themselves to death and we will bury them with their own confusion. We shall prevail!
I've hear of multi-tasking, but that's just redicolous.

More evidence:
CmdrTaco switches to mac
Dell sells iPods
Amazon made a profit
Now where's Duke Nukem Forever?
You don't get excited over a wafer-thin laptop that can also burn DVDs? You must be truly fazed!
A redundant first post!
Will the brilliant moderator please stand up?

Well of course you can play it on eMacs!
I can see your advertising campaign now:

It's funny. Laugh.
Let me guess... you didn't?
Wow dude! Couldn't you just have used Marine Aquarium? ;)
Yes. But of all the Roadrunner-comics he spoke only thrice? And he says something in a Wile E. Coyote-voice? Now THAT'S a private accosiation!
3. Wile E. Coyote never talked. (Unless you count signs)
Iraq surrenders.

Except PowerBook G4s don't.

No shit Charmaine!
Just FYI, the iPod has a wired remote as well.

Don't discount it until you've read the FAQ:

Bah! I can get 15 gigs of it on my iPod and still have room for 5 gigs of porn MP3s.
If I were so inclined that is.

Looks like he dropped some in his watercooled server as well...
Of USS Clueless? Why should I listen? Even his server couldn't stand 5 slashdot-comments...
