    Welcome to the enlightened population.

    I prefer weed over alcohol hands down, after I turned 30 going out drinking means at least one day of recovering. Going out high, means I'll be up the next day with no side effects.

    Also, noticed how you are not having trouble remembering? Go nuts drinking and you will black out, smoking weed has never given me any problems with performance during or after the fact. In fact, I tend to work better the days after a high than I do otherwise. Fun fact, most of those ill side effects people tend to use as counter arguments to weed are based on FUD and hearsay. Not a single proper done study has shown smoking weed is bad; in fact quite the opposite.

    People will get high, period. Some are lucky enough to be able to cope with just sugar, alcohol or cigarettes, but others need that extra rush.

    The reason why some idiots have resorted to bath salt in your fine country or Krokodil in Russia, is the "healthy" illegal drugs are so hard to get your hands on you go for the dirty and *rotten* crap.

    (Go look up krokodil on google images, safe search off and lunch well and truly digested, that is some nasty shit).

    I keep hearing people claim this about ATI/AMD; I must be the luckiest SOB in the world when it comes to buying hardware from ATI, I've never had trouble with any of my cards. Granted I run them under Windows.

    Nvidia on the other hand, I have a single GFX sitting in my laptop and that is the crappiest piece of shit I've ever own. GFX driver keeps locking up, keeps crashing and has extremely poor performance compared to its competitors.

    No wonder you are posting as AC, what a load of bollocks. The European Union are by no means toothless, and sure as hell aren't specifically targeting US companies. Last year, some billion euro class fines where handed out to local price cartels, the reason you don't hear about it is a. you got your head stuck firmly in your arse or b. only reading news spoon fed by your US propaganda machines. (Well, one could argue they are the same...)

    Silly to post something like this when European obviously aren't around to debunk the crap in TFA.

    It's not about the British Government not wanting others to snoop on their citizens; the no cookie law is a European mandate and all member nations are required to implement it within the next few years.

    And yes, most sites are going to have some real trouble implementing this.

    3 times is a start - and remember, those trolls are often shell companies with their patents transferred (like original article was discussing); if you are defendant and win, they don't have the money to fork over, so you could probably do a land-grab from their assets. (not a lawyer nor american, so no idea how stuff actually works, but one can dream)

    No of course not, europeans are evil; they will plot and plot, and when you least expect it, they will come out of the bush, tackle you and steal all your money. Never go there!

    That being said, generally they will come at you like a ton of bricks if they suspect you of doing something illegally (cartel), but it's just a matter of antitrust they will ask you to get back in line or face the wrath of some severely worded letters.

    Don't think you can turn off the engines once they are lit up, most rockets are based on one long controlled explosion coming out of the back.
    The article I saw said it was aborted at T minus 0 5 seconds, which is cutting it closer to the explosion than most action movies does :D

    The problem with google+ is it actually spews out more redundant crap than Facebook does. Facebook at least manages to hit the inner circle of my friends on a regular basis. Google+ on the other hand puts in posts from people I have no idea who is, informing me of crap I have no use for.

    Well... Look around you, how many of those born did have a say there? A lot of people are basically slaves, making ends meet on minimum wage.

    Going through space in a spaceship sounds like a one up on that, even if it means knowing no other life (which might actually be psychologically better?).

    Also point of note, having multiple generations in space like that would probably mean whatever being got to the destination would be like no human on earth...

    Well there is some truth to it. I currently suffer from headaches and I get double vision if I sit too much in a high contrast environment, which means I can't go to the movies - if I want to keep up with what my friends are talking about, I actually *do* have to go and pirate, because there is no option for pausing a movie in the cinema (it takes me around 3 days to watch a full feature movie).

    The standard TAP 3.11, does include som information about your whereabouts, including tower(s?) you are talking to and aproximate location, but no GPS or direction.

    Also, in Europe we have a lot of MVNOs (mobile virtual network operator), they are generally somewhere between 5 minutes and 6 hours behind current events depending on their contract with the network provider.

    So unless the police has some backdoor installed in the land of the free, the 911 operator needs to ask some questions :-)

    Some years back I read that manufactures tend to ship their best runs to the eu because of our warranty requirement. I can't think of a single electronic gizmo I've bought the last 10 years that didn't make it way beyond the 2 years.
