Extrapolating the progress of physics in the last century or two to the next thousand years makes an enormous number of assumptions without evidence.
No matter how comforting this blind view of continued progress in Physics is, it's not humble to be arguing for it here. Who the fuck are you to be making guesses and to expect others to respect your unsupported guesses?
If you want a religion, don't turn physics into one. Until then, if you've got something to argue, don't fucking come here and announce your faith that it's just gonna happen. You've got to give a reason based on something other than your nebulous "understanding."

I thought that it was an intolerable act of tyranny to make citizens purchase something that they might not want or need. I guess they'd better stop whining about health insurance then.
Don't forget to mention that the unions they were required to join were GOVERNMENT unions. The fascists, at least in Germany and Italy, busted the real unions and substituted government-run "unions" that everyone had to be a member of.
I tell my employees that if they're a member of the union, they can work M-F 9-5 and have holidays. If they don't want to be in the union, they can work 18 hour days for me, they'll get a bunk in the company barracks, and get paid in company script.
So, overnight a nation of more than a billion people is going to have a couple hundred million with nothing to do? That doesn't sound very survivable to me, especially considering China's history of the poor tearing the rich limb-from-limb time-to-time.
