    Indeed. This is bullshit. They put out an update to fix it which they really didn't need to do. And why is Apple a special case where you think they should be responsible for third party part? If your garage uses a third party part in your car and it causes a problem, do you blame the car maker? I just had this, bad caliper. Didn't think to blame Honda.

    Rightly said. I have been carrying a Fitbit for about 2-3 years now. Am I wonderfully fit now? Alas, no. Does it help me stay aware that I need to be more active and help me do so? Yep. If I look at the step number and its not close to what I want, then it can be that extra little push to make me go take a walk or something. To me its worth it for just that.

    I found them to be completely unusable. Had to hold my head in a certain position and had to always turn to look at second monitor, could not glance because of the sweet spot thing. Lasted two days, went back and changed to dedicated lenses, happy ever since.

    At the corner of 3rd and (if I recall correctly) Mariposa in the parking lot of an abandoned diner, sitting in a rented car writing code that talked to a box on the lamp post through special radios while the homeless ambled along on their business. This went on pretty much every other week for a several months. And this was just at the beginning of when the area was starting to get improved. Fun times.

    Well, I don't know if I would go as far as "I love him", but I agree fully with your points. From the point the Apple ][+ hit my hands, I was lost to the silicon gods. He might be arrogant. He has a right considering the advances he has driven.

    I agree that is the more expected scenario, certainly. But there is a thing called altruism. Somebody could actually try to do something for the common good. That being said, I can't say I expect this to pan out. There are some possibilities that are interesting like perhaps they have stumbled on some new efficiency that is not PM but uses significantly less power, that would still be a good thing. So even if this is a load, perhaps there is some usable nugget buried within. I will give them the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise and only expect the reasonable, though I do disagree with their methodology if for no other reason than it is suspect.

    No, I agree. I have had almost zero problems with speakeasy and on those rare occasions when I needed support, they treated me like I had a brain.

    I can't say I have a good feeling about this.
