Get a Drobo. It's a RAID cabinet that holds up to 4 SATA drives (newer models hold 5 or 8 drives). It's hot-swappable. You can add or replace drives without shutting it down, and if you need more space, swap a 1TB drive for 2TB.
I love DreamHost. I've been using them for several years. When they had a rough period a few years ago I switched to MediaTemple's gridserver (although I kept my DH account open and continued to host some less active sites there). Recently I became dissatisfied with MediaTemple when it started getting really slow and I was constantly getting GPU overages for two moderately busy self-hosted WordPress sites. I finally switched back to DreamHost and I'm very happy with them.
I use a DreamHost VPS, which lets me change the memory allocation as needed and reboot the server at any time. I recently switched my VPS from Apache to Nginx, which gave me a dramatic performance increase and reduction of memory usage.
I switched my virtual private server from Apache to Nginx and I found the memory usage dropped by nearly half and it runs a lot faster. I have two wordpress sites and one Drupal site on that server. The default Apache configuration uses a separate process for each connection, so the memory usage balloons with a lot of activity. Nginx defaults to use a single process, and the memory usage remains constant no matter how busy it gets.
Everyone knew about the switch for more than a year and they had plenty of time to prepare. Anyone who doesn't know about the switch or isn't prepared is either an idiot or living under a rock. They should have done the switch earlier. I'm sick of seeing the ads about the switch.
Cats have amazing problem solving abilities. If they want something that's out of their reach, they'll figure out some way to get at it. If they really want to get into a drawer or cabinet, they'll figure out a way to open it. Let's see a dog do that.
You're way off base. First of all, You need to explicitly invite people as friends in reader. Second, only items you explicitly share are visible. When I share an item I've always assumed I was sharing it with everyone.
I've never used an ISP email address. Many years ago I used a pobox.com forwarding address as my public email address. These days I use gmail and the IMAP server associated with my Dreamhost web hosting account. I don't even think about my DSL provider and I never check the email account they provided. I've switched between cable modem & DSL several times and never even think about it. I want them to provide my connectivity and nothing else.
I love the Mr. Coffee Simple Brew. It's a single cup pressure brew machine that works like the pod machines except it uses regular ground coffee instead of pods, although it can optionally use pods.
I've had my Prius for a little less than a year and I wouldn't drive anything else. Even with the new standards, the relative mileage is still better than any other car. I find that I get the best mileage on longer trips. Taking lots of short trips will reduce the effective mileage. For the first 5 minutes, I average only about 25 MPG, but after that I average 50 or better, often around 75 MPG. My overall average is around 45, though, since I take lots of short rides.
There are a lot of other things I like about the Prius besides the mileage. It's comfortable, has lots of room, has the smoothest & quietest ride of any car I've driven, and it has the most advanced features like push button start with a smart key system, backup camera, and stability control. I'm driving a regular car this week, thanks to one of my neighbors hitting my Prius, and I can't wait to get it back in a few days. After driving a Prius, using a key to start the car, hearing engine noise and feeling the transmission shifting jolt seems strange.
It would be very useful to be able to run OS X in a VM for testing different versions. I have to test my software in 10.2, 10.3, 10.4, and 10.5. Of course it won't help with PowerPC versions, but it would be nice to be able to use 10.5 without rebooting.
I don't understand the outrage. The change has no practical effect. I switched to using my Yahoo ID long ago and it didn't affect anything. My visible user name & photo URL remains the same. It didn't affect my pro status. You're the only one who knows that you're logging in with a Yahoo ID - everyone else sees exactly the same thing they saw when you logged in with a Flickr ID.
It could be referring to Steve Ballmer.
The Parents Television Council can go fuck themselves.

Too bad he's using a Canon camera.

Actually it's "Attack of the The Eye Creatures". Yes, "the" actually appears twice on the title screen.

I call bullshit on this.

If you're using Safari, install Saft and enable Kiosk mode. Opera also has a kiosk mode, which disables menus and limits users to web browsing.
What happened to the Joko Clubs in Senegal?
The weeds are finally winning the battle and I hate weeding my garden. I really want one of these.
I voted for him when he ran as the Libertarian candidate. Maybe he'll do the same this time, since he won't get the republican nomination.

I live in Florida and my job is in Vancouver.
I need to stay in shape and it can help.
I'd still rather drive a Prius than a Hummer. I like a quiet, smooth ride and it's just plain fun with all of the high-tech goodies.

He works for Dell. Nuff said.
