What about the Compaq TC1000 which was released ~7 years before the first iPad. HP Compaq Tablet PC TC1000 - TM5800 1 GHz - 10.4" TFT.

Stop trying to come up with lame excuses. Apple hasn't come up with anything new since the early 1980's. They just take what someone else built and remake it. They know that all they have to fall back on is patient lawsuits because there WILL be better devices released by other companies within a year that Apple first releases their model. What it boils down to is Apple us using patient lawsuits to prevent it from getting crushed like in the 1980's

    1. People that don't want to learn how to keep their computer secure will get off the internet.
    2. People will finally learn how to keep their computer secure and not clock on every URL, File Attachment or Pop Advertisement thrown in their face.

Either one would result in a better internet. =)

For a phone, 16gigs is more then enough space unless you also want to use it as your portable music then maybe a 32gig. Movies on a phone is crap if you ask me. Just way to small.

Now a tablet on the other hand, 64gig+ is what I want. I got the 64gig iPad and it's about full. It's a mix of apps, music and movies. My Transformer Prime has 96gigs (64gig microSD external card) and 128gigs if I have the keyboard dock connected. Over all it's about 40% full but I have only had it a few months. Having the extra space comes in handy when I want to transfer large amounts of data between home and work.

If the Nexus 16gig also included an external microSD slot then I could justify the huge price jump for a meesly 8gigs but just for that 8gig, $50 seems a bit much. I don't care if people say it's standard. Everyone is over pricing it.

They won't admit it but in the end they did more harm then good. Their so called "leader" should also be investigated.
