howdy all! i live in rural iowa, so broadband isn't an option. I hooked up my sprintpcs phone an old sony laptop running rh8. I set it up as my proxy download pipe using squid. When ever i want to download something on my main computer, I set up phoenix to proxy to my laptop with the srpintpcs phone hooked to it. I then use it to download large files and what not, so I can still surf the web using mozilla. Works fantastic!
I find that casual surfing and email is better suited to my dial up. Its working great!
I recently went to indiana. i used my wifes laptop with it. funny thing is that it seems a better web surfing experience when you vpn in someplace so you dont have to use sprints jpeg compressor...

the really ironic thing is that it took me 4 hours to get it to work with winxp - was hard finding the samsung cdma drivers
with rh8 it took like 10 minutes to figure it out-lol
with macosx it took less than one minute when I saw someone posted to try the sony cdma script with it
beoS was pretty cool, i still remember installing it on a powercomputing powerwave w/ a ppc604 250 and playing like 6 quicktime movies on it...blew away all the it guys where i worked at...and this was in 1998?

you know, ayn rand once wrote that the reason the government passes so many laws is because it is SO HARD TO CONTROL LAW ABIDING CITIZENS...did you just fucking read that?????? if not take a second glance...a HARD fucking second glance. The government does not profit by you going 55, it profits you going 62, so it can pull you over whenever it wants...think about this...why do they let you speed into the grey area??? so you are always breaking the law...think about it...is America really that free? no its not...sad but true...I lived in a rural part of south america and it ruined me...you know why? because I was held accountable for my own actions....unbelievable...huh? Politicains should really think about both of the adams, franklin, and others and why they were so pissed off at england...but they wont because theres isn't any money in being honest anymore....(doubt there ever was)...:)
