I agree. I'm taking a rally to Mongolia this summer, and I've already got an Eee PC for it. My only concern with SD cards is that, where I live, most of them tend to be fakes. I've got a bunch of 2GB SD cards, bought in official Kodak stores and everything, that stopped working after writing more than 512 MB of data. Now I expect to buy several new SD cards in Madrid (where the rally starts), and I just hope this "fake" thing isn't global.
I think they might just have changed their version numbering scheme by then don't you think? Or is 990 years to do that not long enough? They'll have to unfreeze Shuttleworth to ask him what to do...
Is there some type of installment/incubation plan that I might be able to participate in? Perhaps something where I could deposit a little bit at a time and eventually have an entire child... Well, you can always try to fill up a jar of "mayonaise" a save it in the freezer. The hard part is to find a girlfriend so you can make her a sandwich.
To use Linux in a business setting, I would never suggest going with an UNSTABLE distro such as Ubuntu Etch.
FYI, Etch is the forthcoming stable release of *Debian*, not Ubuntu. I know Ubuntu is based on Debian, but nothing such "Ubuntu Etch" exists. I guess you were talking about "Ubuntu Edgy", right?
I don't know you, but this is the first time I hear about a downloadable demo for a console. I guess the PS3 doesn't have some of the copy protection mechanisms the PS2 has, at least for CDs. If this is true, is the PS3 able to play PS2 backups as well? Some light on this might be interesting.
This is kind off-topic, but since it looks like several hard-core gamers are reading this, I'll give a shot.
I bought a PS2 like a year and a half ago, mostly for my girlfriend, who enjoys it very much. I don't use it at all, except for some quick football matchs with Pro Evo Soccer.
The question is: the only games that seems to appeal to her are the Prince of Persia series. All of the other titles just don't fit her profile. I'm considering buying a Wii, which looks fun, but it's not on sale in my country yet and several years might happen before it is available here.
So, the question is: are there any PS2 games as fun as the prince of persia series out there?
Thanks and sorry for the OT.
Let me remind you that no console add-on, ever, has been a commercial success.
What about the PS2 memory card?
I know, I'm cheating, since a PS2 without a memory card is practically useless, but if you think about it, a Wii without a wiimote is practically as useless as well.
What I want to know is, who can afford to live on 6K fulltime?
We're talking about 6k per month, but it's not a full time job neither. It was just a one month experiment.
IMO, it's cheap, considering the amount of work involved in a release.
Unfortunately, Konqueror is tied into KDE. You could maybe wrap the KHTML rendering engine in an alternate skin, but that'd be a huge project. It might be less bother to persuade Opera to open up their source code.
Sorry, but no. Actually, khtml makes it extremely easy. Example.
Actually, one of the things that brought (north) America up to the top was Henry Ford, with his revolutionary management: paying *double* of the current market value, to generate market in the long run. Nike is short-sigthed. They don't see they could be selling their 200 bucks shoes to the "brown people" in 20 years.
Well, you can take a look at the PS2, with lots of games published, and lots of games sold. Was the PS2 crackable? Of course. So, there's no implicit relationship between. The experience seems to tell otherwise.
And the fact that they don't block American IP addresses means that they are aiding in patent infringement.
That is *so* ridiculous. Basically, you're saying that every person should be aware of any existing law in the world and put blocking rules accordingly?
Please do a favour to yourself and buy some common sense.
Argentina: ADSL 1 Mbit down, 256 kpbs up, about 35 US dollars/month.

Nice trip! Just a question: when was it? Did you use the wifi hotspot in El Calafate?
does this affect viagra?
IMHO, the Asus XG Station. That external graphics enclosure might be interesting.
No, part of the problem is the lack of a floating point coprocessor in the OLPC. Windows will run horribly bad on it (if it runs at all).
Steve, is that you?
Save your hardware infrastructure and give me a god damn free driver.

I would rather hire Joe Modest.
