Cheaters just want an unfair advantage. When everyone else is cheating, you lost your advantage. To make it worse, if everyone is invincible, nobody wins. Eventually they'll get frustrated and know why non-cheaters hate their guts and lost interest in the online game because of cheaters. It's perfect, non-cheaters get to play with non-cheaters and cheaters get to play with cheaters. They should love it unless deep down inside they hate people like themselves.

Oh ya, another issue. It is often too expensive or too much of a bother for utilities to send someone out to check for fraud on just a suspicion. And they may want police with them in case of altercations. I think a lot of this stuff gets overlooked intentionally at times.

Too much of a bother? Recently, 10 minutes from where I lived, the police discovered huge pot farms in houses dedicated to growing weed. The home owners bypassed the meter so that they wouldn't notice the huge power usage, but I guess they noticed the "lack of usage".

I agree. I still have my Panasonic HDTV from 2002, and it still looks better than most LCD televisions I have seen.

But because the final game is so important for the season, we call the people warning about the teams being sick "infection alarmists".

Additional problems are caused by other countries trying to build up their industries to catch up to the already industrialized countries. If we are already at the limit of what the planet can handle, then it implies that some countries will have to reduce emissions so that other countries can increase their emissions.

Since this probably means less money for the wealthy, they will do everything they can to prevent scaling back, ie: "It's not hurting the planet/This will cause economic disaster/etc". Unless someone figures out a way to take the political clout of the wealthy elite, then we're screwed.

There's a lot of book players who wonder how they lost when they reached a book position that was supposed to be in their favor! It's not that simple. Yes, they do try to find weaknesses in their opponent's opening repertoire, but both sides are doing the same thing, and are aware of the fact that the other side is looking for weaknesses. Sometimes they'll add something completely different to throw off their opponents work. Sometimes they'll get the advantage because of a novelty they worked out ahead of time, and their opponent still manages to get a draw, and now they can work out whether they can come up with an answer to the new move.

Their preparation doesn't negate their opponent's skill. It's still an over the board battle.

Strong human players use algorithms that are not easily translated into computer code. Sometimes(maybe a lot of times) there might be flaws in their calculations, but unless they are playing against a high end chess program/system, nobody will notice the mistake.

There are games available for both platforms, ie: Riptide GP, and there are youtube videos of them being played side by side.
