That statement is completely false. "Only" isn't a science word (it requires you disprove all other theories, even theories you haven't had yet), and neither of those claims is proven or even likely, given they don't address even currently understood data.
You're confused. Dark matter and dark energy aren't concrete things. They're placeholders for the remainders that don't fit the currently understood data. They are the X and the Y in an equation we haven't yet solved. X and Y are in fact the "only" solutions to the equation, because that's a tautology. The solution to the equation is the solution to the equation. But because we don't know what they are they could turn out to be almost anything, or a combination of things. There are a lot of theories as to what they might be, but none of them is definite, and none will be until we gather more data.
You cannot say "this theory is broken, yet must form the basis of better theories", because that's nonsense logic. A broken theory is broken, it must be wrong.
All of science is based on "broken" theories. Copernicus' ideas were wrong, but they led to Galileo. Galieo's ideas were wrong but they led to Newton. Newton's ideas were wrong, but they led to Einstein. Einstein is probably also wrong, and we're not quote sure what the next wrong theory will be. And yet those and the many other wrong theories have led to better things. Improved theories and actual engineering improvements.
Satellites can be launched into orbit using only Newton's "broken" theories, but it's Einstein's "broken" theories that allow accurate GPS using those satellites. The computer you are using to post to this site was built based on "broken" theories that nevertheless provided a stepping stone to new and better things.
The one bright spot for the Republicans is that they've actually been a minority for awhile but have been able to outmaneuver the Democrats for most of the past two decades because the Democrats are incompetent. So becoming even more of a minority isn't necessarily a death knell for the Republicans.
What's the lease on these units? What happens if you quit? More importantly, what happens if you're fired/laid off/whatever? If the house is part of the employment is it factored into any severance packages? (If/when applicable.)
Moving is already hell. Losing your job is already hell. Imagine being told to pack your things _and_ that you have 30 days to find a new place to live at the same time!
Just slightly more complex, a malicious actor with a single vehicle can block a "dumb" intersection by driving doughnuts in the middle of the intersection.
I don't know about the OP, but my complete music library is about 80GB. I don't want to put _all_ of it on my phone, but certainly a lot more than manufacturers seem to think I'd want. Plus i often use my phone is an impromptu USB drive to transfer files. And of course there's also ebooks, photos, and videos.
My phone has 32 GB storage internally, in theory. In practice i'm currently using 19.5 GB of the 21.7 GB available. I'm also currently using 80 GB of the 119 GB available on the SD card.
...you mean the co-protagonist? And why would that be a problem anyways? As the most obvious counter-example, "Her" got a lot of buzz and made a decent profit.
Well you can certainly dislike the console all you like, but it's definitely untrue to claim that the only exclusive titles are Zelda, Mario Kart, and Mario Odyssey. You originally said "in-house", but 1: exclusive titles by other companies are also reasons to get a console, and 2: you doubled-down by claiming that "all the other titles in the store are ports of PC games."
According to the Wikipedia lists there are a couple dozen games exclusive to the Switch and a dozen more that are exclusive to Nintendo consoles including the Switch. The most notable ones I've heard of are:
Arms, Blaster Master Zero, Fire Emblem Warriors, Pokken Tournament DX, Golf Story, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, Snipperclips, Splatoon 2, Super Bomberman R, and Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
Out of those, six of them are published by Nintendo or the Pokemon Company, and two of them are even in-house (Arms, and Splatoon 2,) so even your first, less rigid claim is demonstrably false.
This is what happens when we complain too much about the quality of recent posts. They dig up some "BSD is dying" article to try and make us feel all warm and fuzzy from the nostalgia.

Ahh yes, it's very clear how Swift is so much less "geeky" than other languages like C# or Java! I'm sure a student looking at it for the first time would instantly realize how much better it is instead of saying "that's not for me"!
I'm failing to see the link between a lawsuit over contract violation and "memes having rights". I'm unsure whether the lawyer is an idiot, or just knows that making outrageous statements will grab headlines. Probably the later, and Slashdot apparently fell for it hook line and sinker.
Oh wait, who do we have to pay for violating the rights of the "hook line and sinker" meme?
I'm seriously expecting them to target Amazon or Netflix's business plan next.
Uh, you mean like the ability to buy and stream movies, TV shows, and music through Google Play? Or do you feel that doesn't count until they either offer the ability to buy physical goods directly to counter Amazon or expand their Google Play Music subscription service to include TV and movies to counter Netflix and Hulu?
To be fair, this is an article on the San Francisco section of "curbed.com", which is a site that seems intentionally dedicated to local issues. A quick check shows that ny.curbed.com has articles talking about local locations that only New Yorkers would know about, seattle.curbed.com has articles talking about local locations that only Seattleites would know about, etc.
Or are you suggesting that everyone living in New York, Seattle, or any of the other cities curbed.com has a page for originally hailed from the Bay Area?:)
You can't quarantine a rat flea -- no, the rat flea doesn't care.
If your quarantine's successful, then the virus spreads by air.
If the Black Death were bubonic, then the quarantines would fail,
And the fact that they succeeded tells a very different tale.
The Black Death hit hard in Iceland, and there's something you should know:
That there are no rats in Iceland, 'cause the temperature's too low,
And without rats, there's no rat fleas to infect you with a bite,
So the Black Death had to spread by means beyond their appetite!
In this case the song is arguing that it's droplet based transmission rather than fleas on humans, but they both agree that rats as a vector is problematical.
So moderate alcohol use (supposedly) helps prevent heart disease but also (supposedly) increases your odds of cancer.
On one hand, repairing or replacing hearts, possibly from cloned stem cells, is theoretically easier than curing cancer and repairing damaged stem cells.
On the other hand, a heart attack is a lot more likely to catch you by surprise before you realize you need to have your heart repaired or replaced. Also, your stem cells are going to get damaged sooner or later anyways, alcohol just speeds up the process. So sooner or later we'll have to figure out how to repair or replace stem cells anyways.
Of course that's all taking the long view. In the short(er) view, none of us are getting out of this alive. So drink up i guess?
Uh, last i heard the "SJW" crowd tended more toward anti-police sentiments in general while the anti-"SJW"s were all "blue lives matter". So why do you think the "SJW"s are behind a plan to mobilize people to help police?
Is one of us confused about what "SJW"s want? Or are you just blaming anything you don't agree with on some "SJW cabal" that you've made up in your head?
Google and Facebook will be fine. They may end up having to pay fees to the ISPs, but they have plenty of money and they'll be fine. The victims will be consumers and any new start-ups that can't afford the ISP fees needed to break into the market while they're still small and trying to grow.
Back when they first announced the plan i agreed with you. "They want us to subscribe to _another_ online service just to watch some Disney and Pixar movies and whatever they show on Disney TV? No thanks!"
Now however, they can presumably arrange it so that Hulu, or a new online service of their own, has all the Disney and Pixar movies, the Star Wars movies, the Simpsons, Futurama, X-Files, Buffy, Firefly, Orville, Family Guy, How I Met Your Mother, Glee, MASH, Arrested Development, American Horror Story, and far too many other shows to list them all here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...
I don't know if the exact details of what all they picked up are publicly available, but given the price and scope described I'm guessing they got at least a majority of that stuff. Assuming Disney is smart enough to get a lot of it online ASAP i think that would make a powerhouse of an online service.
On an aside, as a SoCal resident i am curious about what exactly the terms are of Universal Studios' agreement to have the Simpsons in their park. For their sake i hope the terms specify exclusive theme park rights regardless of who the current owner is, but if so it'll be a bit funny to go to Universal Studio and see what are technically Disney characters:)
The very large companies probably have a slight preference for net neutrality, just because they already have nearly insurmountable advantages and they'd rather not have to pay the additional fees. But as you say, it wouldn't really be that much compared to their net worth, and having an even bigger barrier to entry would let them get way with a lot more consumer unfriendly stuff. "We don't care. We don't have to. We're [Facebook/Google]."

I'm not a medical anything, but calling skin an organ always seemed like cheating to me.
It's people like you that are making folks switch to Republicans. Keep it up.
O RLY?
"The percentage of Americans who consider themselves Republican or lean that way has dropped since Donald Trump was elected president, a Gallup poll found."
The one bright spot for the Republicans is that they've actually been a minority for awhile but have been able to outmaneuver the Democrats for most of the past two decades because the Democrats are incompetent. They should have called it OB1.
These are not the files you're looking for. *waves hand*

"And who appointed Ajit Pai? Trump. He is part of the Trump administration."
Just to be clear, he was appointed to the commission by Obama in 2012. But Trump appointed him to the position of chairman in 2017.
(And i'd love to see some discussion as to why Obama chose make that first appointment, but it's kind of secondary at this point)
