He fully expected the sale to anyone that WATCHED that movie.
Let me tell you a true story very much like the theoretical example you posted. When I was a kid there was a Rolling Stones song I loved, but I had no money to buy the album and my parents hated rock music. Our neighbors had that album, and I used to run to the backyard to listen when they played it. Was I stealing?
(RIAA) - Did your neighbours have the permission to broadcast it publicly?
The first time I saw these (that I can clearly remember) was in Saw II. It struck me immediately that they were different from the "change reels" ones, as they were bright yellow, in the middle of the screen. They're perfect for ruining a great scene as others have already mentioned. Thanks to Fight Club I already noticed most of the "change reels" ones, now thanks to Saw II I also notice those CAP ones...
What prevents TomTom to format their device with another filesystem (e.g. ext2/ext3,...) and deliver a windows compatible driver in their installation package? Almost all hardware out there comes with installation media and drivers for Windows and/or Mac. Why not have that filesystem driver included, and get rid of FAT once and for all?
Pretty easy. Of course, in Linux I don't ever see any reason to shut the machine down anyway. My laptop pretty much only gets rebooted when there's a kernel update to install. Other than that, it just gets suspended. So, kind of pointless in Linux, but easy. The same would apply to *BSD.
The only reason I see is to make my electricity bill a bit lighter..
Not necessarily. Multicast is being used for a variety of data in different sectors. e.g. Lots of financial data is being subscribed through multicast streams within several financial institutions.
They have done nothing else but trying to boost the value of their shares since the beginning of the whole thing. They dropped under $4, so now they're trying to raise it again with some more PR, so that their name gets in the news.
In Japan, bands often release special editions with extra bonus tracks or material, to make the more-expensive domestic releases more interesting than the imported ones.
That also means that big fans around the world will want to have those special editions:-)
... like a swan song for them, except it's a very fucking nasty and twisted song in this case, and someone should get a stick and kill the swan already with a good blow to the head.
I agree on this part, but if you go look at some of the names of the websites (for example www.dvd-copy.com) then you can imagine how some people, who might not know much about the entire case (like the main reason for DeCSS's existence) would react when they see such sites, and think that DeCSS's main purpose was to copy DVDs. Maybe give them the interviews with Jon for literature. And if the defence has to come up with evidence for the fact that it was about playing DVDs in Linux, bring up LIVID's source maybe and start distributing that one instead of the main DeCSS code..
I know where my towel is!

Now this will become an interesting legal fight.

"Hey babe, your barcode looks kinda thin to me!"
I've been looking around for the same one, yet in Belgium. Nobody seemed to be selling it, only the windows version.
Cheers

You got an RFC for that?

That leaves .3% that is unaccounted for. What was it written in?
Notepad, for the comments.
It's meant for audio/video also, not text.

Usually, during downtime, the IT department is the one that needs to START working, in order to get things up again!

Ok, they forget to mention the detail which says that it's at the bottom of the list.

Maybe they don't have water, but they surely must have oil there!

Swans don't sing when they die.

How about Freenet?
I suppose that that one doesn't involve any spyware.
Might be a good incentive to start using that one, even though it might need some work still.

Start?
