It has bluetooth and the phone pairs with the car, synchronizing phonebooks as well.
This allows you to make calls from the cars system instead of the phone, as well as use the stereo speakers for the phone. I'm not sure where the microphone is located but i'd assume somewhere near the drivers head/face.
I have the Jabra Earbud that has the "gel" earpiece like he said. Mine has the microphone integrated to the earpiece instead of on the line. I've found it to be very easy to get in and out of my ear... it just takes a simple twist as said in the directions.
The sound quality for the listener is good, but I've had complaints about it not being as good on the other end, or being exceptionally loud.
It is impossible to drive with the windows down while using the earpiece in my left ear because of the wind noise.
However, I've killed many hr+ car rides by making phone calls and doing business on the road. It makes it hard when people want you to write something down, but that is what the recording feature on the phone is for!
Most of the time I use AM Radio to kill the car rides so that at least I'm thinking a little bit.
If you insert the Mandrake 9.2 CD into your computer while in windows, the autorun program comes up and in the title bar it is labled Mandrake Linux 9.1
Seems easy enough to catch, but i guess no testers used windows;)
When i was a salesman at compusa (a few years back) we sold USB cables for $30+ when they were only $5 or so at cost. I've seen grocery stores selling them for much less than $30. The same thing went for parallel printer cables.
However, there was one adapter (PS2->AT or serial->ps2, i forget which) that we charged ~$50 for when it was listed as $.50 cost in the computer... 1000% profit is not bad.
As a high school Junior/Senior i started doing this stuff as well with friends/family/people that were in that network.
I'm a junior in college now and make $300 some days... not $35;)
I charge $40/hr since I know everybody that I work for and I do consider myself one of the best. I work for dentists offices, chiros, people in homes, etc etc. I live in a pretty affluent area (North County, San Diego) and have gotten paid for connecting VCRs/DVD players, surround sound, installing ceiling speakers for stereos, building computers, setting up wireless/wired routers/networks, turning on file sharing, installing programs, cycling the power on cable/dsl modems to get them to sync, and best of all... to hang up pictures and mirrors (still $40/hr).
You can make a good deal of money if you know enough people, and i typically work a handful in a week while going to school full time (Computer Engineering). This brings in at about $1000/month usually and I don't have to work when I don't want to.
Again, trust is where I've based my business. I work at homes while people aren't gone, or in their offices at night when nobody is there. Also, if something did go wrong they'd just want my best to fix it and wouldn't take me to court.
They changed the date and changed it from RC1 to RC2
August 28th, 2003 - Mandrake 9.2RC2 - Yes it's going to be available soon:-) Anyway, many mirroirs aren't ready yet, so more details about this first release candidate later. If you can't wait, use BitTorrent to catch the ISOs. And you can even already discuss the RC.
Cable modems generally ping better than DSL for whatever reason, and I'm sure even fatter dedicated lines are better as well.
On my cable modem (adelphia) I get 10-12ms for the first 8 or so hops as they are all on the adelphia servers, after that I can get as low as 20ms or even 18ms for more local stuff (I get about 23 to www.yahoo.com). I live in San Diego and this type of service is only about $35/month. On my DSL (Pacbell) I used to get 15-20ms to the first hop even, whereas i get 9-11ms now.
I agree with everything said above. I started doing this during my Junior year of High School (when i was 17) and at that time I weighed 275lbs. Now I am starting my Junior year of college and i am down to 160lbs.
I went from 5'8"/275 to 6'0"/160 in a few years by changing my lifestyle and eating habits. I still dont exercise as much as I should, but a little is better than none at all.
Windows XP does have IIS which has an FTP server. It is very easy to setup and I have actually used it many times instead of "Network Neighborhood" aka MSamba. FTP works especially well when getting a ton of files or very big files. For the small stuff I stick to samba though (its nice to play mp3s etc off of other machines)
I did a one our whitening treatment to my teeth and it produced dramatic results. The treatment was similar to "Brite Smile" but it was equipment from rembrandt instead. Here is a before/after picture. A2 was the color of my front teeth, A3 was the color of my canines
You can get your teeth this much whiter with other methods, but it will also take a much longer time. Over the counter stop doesnt work very well at all, no matter what it is.
However, you can get your dentist to make you whitening trays and give you the gel so that you can do it on your own at home. This method works well but takes a much longer time (30min-2hr per day for months). I am going to get trays made so that i can continue to whiten my teeth once every so often to keep the new shade.
In MS Office 2003 the editing features only get better. They are a little easier to use, a lot easier to see/read, and you can leave voice comments as well as other things in line with the file.
There is even a new "reading mode" that allows you to read documents more easily and correct them. It works great for correcting friends papers or having them do the same to mine.
I can see why some music artists would feel this way. personally I dont know if i like an artist/album unless i listen to it all of the way through because I view albums as one piece of work with a bunch of seperate parts.
People that only listen to the radio for their music might never even hear another song except for the single off of an album and I think that would be hard for me to do. I like listening to albums all the way through from Track 1 to Track End, not on shuffle or repeat.
There are themes among other things that are woven into the songs, and the arrangement of them is picked for a reason (although for some bands it is probably just marketing).
This is a good example and definitely something that i was thinking of as well.
Just because something is open source (or in this case, open idea) doesnt mean that it is rendered useless. There are plenty of open source programs involving cryptography as well as other sensitive subjects that work perfectly well.
In this case as others have mentioned, it would require some fixes to patch up the things that spammers figure out quickly, but I do believe that in the end it will be a stronger system that if it were not "open idea."
As mentioned in other comments the hard part is that the people writing the spamming/gathering software arent stupid. They know what they are doing and make good money off of it.
As far as i was concerned, WinFS was not actually a real file system but something that just runs on type of an NTFS filesystem.
This was actually confirmed at WinHEC:
"Microsoft has scaled back its 'Big Bang', and its Future Storage initiative will build on, rather than supersede the NTFS file system, when the next version of Windows 'Longhorn' appears in 2005."
"WinFS is not a file system
NTFS will be the only supported file system in Longhorn, from a setup and deployment standpoint, though the OS will, of course, continue to support legacy file systems like FAT and FAT32 for dual-boot and upgrade purposes. The oft-misunderstood Windows Future Storage (WinFS), which will include technology from the "Yukon" release of SQL Server, is not a file system, Mark Myers told me. Instead, WinFS is a service that runs on top of--and requires--NTFS. "WinFS sits on top of NTFS," he said. "It sits on top of the file system. NTFS will be a requirement."
Interestingly, when WinFS is enabled, file letters are hidden from the end user, though they're still lurking there under the covers for compatibility with legacy applications. This reminds of when Microsoft added long file name (LFN) support in Windows 95, but kept using short (8.3) file names under the covers so 16-bit applications would still work. Expect this to be the first step toward the wholesale elimination of drive letters in a future Windows version."
Some of the new centrino (Pentium M) notebooks have been said to get 7 hours and a good majority of them claim 5-6 hours.
The pentium M is the first chip by intel designed from the ground up to be a mobile processor. Very low voltage and doesnt run very hot. They are also pretty comparable to the P4 speeds in notebooks (although the mhz are way different).
The TI-89 has decent functionality but it is still rather slow. Even when doing integrals/approximations it can bog down.
The 3d graphing is also terribly slow.
Or you can buy the Audi A8L.

Here is a mirror i setup of the Mail image only (as this is probably the most interesting).

I lowered the quality a ton due to bandwidth concerns but the idea is still seen easily.

I believe they originally planned to have it as an entirely new filesystem but that they wouldnt be able to hit the mark with it...

I've lived in San Diego for over 16 years and never felt an earthquake.
I think my chair is too comfortable because i've been in the room with people that have felt them before. I've also slept through quite a few of them.
However, i have felt the slashdot effect many times.
