reddit is basically just a forum. dropbox does storage and lots of it, that means scaling is critical, data consistency / backups and infrastructure should be a lot more robust. that requires more people.
To be fair, apple doesn't have a 7" tablet, it has a 7.9" tablet with a very different aspect ratio. It's a lot bigger than my nexus 7 and i actually like both sizes.
The CNET article is just fine, read properly: "ACCESS to Grand Theft Auto Online..." doesn't suggest that it's a different game, rather it means access to the multiplayer component (which is called GTA Online"
The conspiracy theorist ideas inside me tell me sabotage may be involved. I don't buy that a beta version caused server issues that prompted to halt the rollout.
40% of the company was canned.
The ios version (which i got by creating an Australia account) also had issues with connecting, which is expected. I don't think Blackberry was ready for this.
I am a PC gamer, but there's no denying that it's the console games that generate revenue. I have played all GTA 3D games on the PC, but this is my first one on the console (xbox 360).
I don't justify the cost of development of the PC version, i don't see a return of the investment. Too few sales and lots of piracy. Piracy affects the console versions as well, but it's a lot harder to do in comparison to a PC version.
Having said that, i am hoping for a PC release spring-summer 2014.
It IS a piece of shit country, literally, you can't find toiler paper, sugar, coffee, cooking oil, powder milk and lots of basic items, prices were up 5% in just a month, and that's government numbers, no production means almost everything is imported, no access to $USD means companies going bankrupt. And don't get me started on crime, kidnappings and civil liberties.
I read this somewhere else too, but it's false. Shutdown really does shutdown your PC. The proof? You need to manually enable a setting in power options to actually show Hibernate in the menu. Google it.
The odd thing, is that i liked Vista. It even allowed you to put the classic start menu (found in XP) instead of the new Vista/7 one.
The problem with Vista is that people had old pentiums with 256mb ram and tried upgrading, and of course it ran slow.
When people chose good hardware it ran well enough. I bought a Vista laptop and i didn't have any issue, it was stable, the only thing was a slow file copy bug that was fixed in SP1.
I installed windows 8. Benchmark-wise, it's a little slower than windows 7 in games, but not much. Might get better with polished drivers.
Business wise, it's a mess. The new UI lowers productivity. Install classic shell and it's mostly windows 7 with some fixes. MS should include a GPO to disable the UI and make everyone happy. They removed the free windows xp mode which is really bad for people willing to upgrade.
I don't see anything in windows 8 to support your gaming claim.
Since 2003, i am using a Casio Edifice EFA-114D watch, for the following reasons:
-Dual analog/digital display -Stop watch -Timer -Light -5 alarms and snooze -World clock -Metal bezel (i tend to melt or break resin because of the weather here) -Great battery life (about 5 years) -Small round display (i have a slim wrist)
I have been looking for 2 years for a replacement that does all of the above and more, and haven't find any. The other casio watches that have some other features i actually want (atomic time, barometer, thermometer) are 500$, big and bulky and non metallic bezel.
I have looked at the Pebble and i think smartwatches are still in their infancy.
Though my confidence in Google is declining after the Reader fiasco (which i don't use or care myself, i think RSS is overrrated, but i can empathize with people), i installed it and works great. Simple way to create notes and task lists, and you can dictate notes, which worked flawlessly with the spanish language.
Being cloud based means i can get a new phone and all notes will be there.

Still, that pinterest number is way too high.

if you have visited the site before it won't allow you to close the window and forces you to create an account or login
Classic Shell 4.0 (released a few weeks ago) lets you find files directly from the search bar.

The "problem" is that 32 bit is still enough for mostly everyone, while 32 bit gained quick popularity after windows 95 (18 years old)
Also, there is less incentive to upgrade your current working machine today than before.

Why not both? Finished SR4 on saturday, started GTAV on tuesday :) Love both!

You couldn't be more wrong. I don't like Windows 8, but it's still very close to windows 7 and most of the stuff that applies to 7 still applies to 8.
If you install classic shell (granted, few people will do that) then you get a very familiar setup.
Try 550$. Also emerging markets = most South American countries.
iPhone 5C ain't C for cheap.
The 7" ipad is even eating the profits from the bigger 9.7" model. Jobs was wrong on this one.
The 5C i don't like, but it may be popular with teens. Android is eating iOS's lunch, Apple has to try something new.
Both Firefox OS phones are being sold in Venezuela by TelefÃnica as well
I said "it will get updated" not "it will get updated for life"
I have 4.3 and the "old" S3 is still on 4.1. And you CAN get 4.2.2 on the Nexus S with a custom rom, which is another feature of the Nexus line.
It's a Nexus. That means it will get updated.
My almost 2 year old galaxy nexus just got updated to 4.3, same day.

It's 3000$ a year, depending on the travel location, which may make it less.
We are currently experiencing heavy scarcity on products. I can't find soap, toilet paper or powder milk.
You could be a lot worse. In my country (Venezuela) the average broadband download speed is 1.3MBits.

Vista SP2 runs just as nice as 7 SP1.
Don't waste your time teaching ideology. Just teach them what they need (the ERM)
